Trep vs nissan SE-R Spec V

Stock SE-R Spec V vs 96 3.5 liter trep with spectre intake.

Okay, I go pick one of my buddies up from work last night and I see this nissan SE-R Spec V zoom down 12 th street. I of course get on it and catch the nissan. I was trying to hit a light so I could run against it, but I wasn't able to hit one. So, I am driving right next to it when we are crossing the bridge on 12th and the SE-R makes this woosh sound like a blow off valve. My two friends in the car and myself all say oh shit It's got turbo. So I roll my window down and ask the guy if it was turbo and he said no. He pulled into some gas station and turned around. (I am guessing he was just cruising. I see the SE-R on 12th all the time.) I follow him and get beside him again and I ask him if he wants to run from the light. He said sure, so we got to the light and we waited. When the light goes green my foot sliped off the brake so I stumble to find the gas pedal. He was already off the mark and I floored it. He was ahead by about 1 and 1/2 car lengths when I started to pull. We passed the next intersection. At this point I am gaining my ground on the nissan. We where both pushing our cars hard. This is when the trep starts to pull back in. I just about get to his door when he shuts down and prepares for the railroad track up ahead. I stayed on the gas and ramped the track. I didn't get off the ground much, 2 or 3 feet I think. I land then pull into the grocery store parking lot. He rolls in after me and pulls up next to me. We poped his hood and checked out his car. It was all stock. I congratulated him on the kill and took off.

lol and you where there. Well, I am not sure how far off the ground I got. 2 or three feet is just a guess. All I know is I left ground for a brief moment and landed.

Nevermind the 3 feet off the ground. You're telling me that you beat a Sentra SE-R Spec V with your trep, and you had two friends in your car?? Are you sure this was a Spec V or was it just one of them cars with a fake Spec V badge on it? I can't see how he lost to you, even if he was a bad driver cause you said that he already had the jump on you, it wasn't because of a bad launch. But once already ahead, even shifting it early shouldn't have hurt him all that much if you really did race a Spec V.

I've driven one of them half to death before (search for a previous post of mine) and that car is very easy to shift and very forgiving. I can't see you gaining on that car in any instance. I'm not going to wave the BS flag, but there's something not quite right.

Yeah, I didn't beat it. I was pulling back in at the end, but it had me off the line bad. If we had kept on going I am sure I would have passed it. I have no idea about his driving skill. He started to slow down a ways before the tracks. As for how far off the ground I was. It is a guess. I have no way for sure to know how far off I was. But the nissan is quick for sure.

So that is why you caught up, maybe a train was coming or he thought a train was coming. ;)

Actually, I started to catch before he started to slow down. I was catching him slowly. The track used to be really rough, but recently then smoothed them out. Maybe he thought they where still rough. Also, it was on a Friday or Saturday night. There where cops everywhere. I was actually surprised I didn't get a ticket.

He might have. All I know is I didn't see his break lights until I started to catch.

The Nissan is Faster, and you would have bottomed out like none other in a trep, and the Nissan is stock 240hp... Plus, just because you didn't see break lights doesn't mean he wasn't letting off the accelorator. No Offense!

Hey, check your facts about the Nissan. I think you're confused about your cars there, bro. Also, what is your meaning of "bottomed out like none other"?
