Smile Farewell!!!

Just as I promised when YB got sacked from DC, I have followed through with my threats by selling off the Dodge Intrepid and the Dodge Durango!!! My wife now drives a Nissan Xterra, and I am now the proud owner of a REAL manufacturer's product, a Subaru WRX!!!

Most of you don't know me, since I was a somewhat quiet browser of the forum (kinda like the guy in your yearbook whom you often wonder "who's that?"). But I want to wish you all well anyway. The Intrepid is one hell of a car, except for the organization that produced it. All of the contributions that you all made to this site added to the pride and satisfaction that I had in that vehicle. Keep it up, and stay cool! I'm off to browse the North American Subaru Impreza Owners Club (NASIOC.com) forums now!

Nissan isn't any better. Nissan motors sued a guy who's family name is Nissan and owned a computer business over the website http://www.nissan.com. Nissan is nothing more than a big company who was throwing it's weight around trying to get a URL from a family business because Nissan motors wasn't quick enoung to grab the domain first.

Click on the URL if you don't believe me.

Well...........really, there are a BUNCH of sites that you type in the URL and get something unexpected.

Nissan motors should just put up with the way it is and have a website like: www.nissanmotors.com or www.nissan.jp

Bah! Nissan Motors has no more right to that name than Nissan Computers. Nissan Computers got the URL first.

First come, first serve. If Nissian wasn't fast enough to get nissian.com and isn't creative enough to come up with a replacement, then that is just too bad I guess.

Congrats!! I have to say that I really admire someone who follows through with their convictions.

Besides, now that they have their jobs back, maybe some day you'll buy another Chrysler product to help keep them in their jobs... Maybe??

The XTerra is a good product in my opinion, at least the 3.3 V6 Supercharged version.

I heard that it is more designed for offroad excursions than being a daily driver though. What are your impressions Stevegud?

The Imprezza??? Well I won't even go there.

I know what you mean. there was some site that had "white House" or something like that in its URL and it was completely pr0n. I found that out in 7th grade in the school library.

Good thing I never had to negociate with you. As soon as you make your threat you don't give the opposition time to make it's mind, & you follow thru with your threat right away.

Well, congratulations on getting rid of two amazing vehicles. But, go to www.nissan.com and find out why people are upset with Nissan. At least Chrysler listning to their customers. Nissan, well........

And why is that? "Democracy" works with URL's as well? Nissan was claiming that this guy had no right to THEIR fucking name. He (Nissan Computer Corp.) offered a link to Nissan Motors Inc., (and the 99.99999999999% percent would be fucking satisfied because they still ended up on the site they wanted), but no, Nissan had to go around bullying this little company.

This is a crock of shit.

On the Nissan issue, I can see both sides. But as far as this latest story about www.mikerowesoft.com I am totally on the kid's side.
