check your WOT

Throttle tip of the day:

Many performance cars don't open to full throttle even with the pedal maxed to the floor. and actually many normal cars unmodified are the same way...have a friend jump in the car and put the pedal to wot (engine shut off!!)and see if your carb or TB's are fully maxed open. if not...adjust the linkage accordingly but!!!!!!!!!! becareful not to adjust too far or you can over extend the cable causing a stuck throttle while driving.!!!!!!!!!

i did this to the trep and my truck and found it to be not opening all the way

Overextending it can also break the throttle cable. Consider yourself warned.

you would probably have to bore the whole throttle body to see any difference

we aren't talking a world of difference here, just a couple degrees more rotation

Even if the throttle can be made to open wider, can the throttle sensor detect the wider position and deliver more fuel?
