my oil leak

i think its coming from the sending unit. not a bad one. i have to put in a quart about every 2-3 weeks. but im ready to fix it. how hard is it to replace the sending unit? is the unit bad, or just the seal? will this drain the oil when i do it? hopw much for the sending unit? thx for the info guys

yeah..I have to R&R my sending unit as well....dealer says less than 15.00 for the part. As far as oil draining...from what I am being told maybe 2-4oz's....I just need to know hjow to change it. Good luck

the thing is i dont have an oil light. jsut a small leak that looks like it was coming from there. could it jus tbe the seal? maybe i could use smoe teflon tape to seal it? ideas?

from my understanding the light comes on for lack of oil pressure....maybe your leak isn't big enough to cause a drop in pressure....
I would still have this at least looked at. You definately need to have your oil system working.
