Question Decisions, Decisions....what to do?

Alright, like most of you I am getting my taxes back shortly and I have some plans for the trep. I was looking into getting it painted. I have a appointment for the 16th.
The front bumper is starting to peel really bad. but I ran across a few sets of rims that I would really like to have. They are nothing fancy but they would look nice. A choice of.......

20'', for $2000 w/ 35 series tires. chrome 6 star

19'' for $2300 w/ 35 series tires. gunmetal 5 star

18'' for $1300 w/ 40 series tires. chrome 5 star

all the tires are nitto

I ran across these deals and I'm having a hard time deciding on what i should do. I am also looking for a set of drop springs w/ spacers. If I do go with the rims I will just get a bra for it so it hides the chipped paint.

SO WHAT DO YOU ALL THINK?

That platinum trep would look real nice with a bra on the front. That and 20"s to go with it? No contest.

From what I've read about bras, they're more of a pain then they are worth, but the big complaint was the paint underneath the bra, which in your case doesn't matter.
Option C, invest the money in your future??

Get the bra...get a set of Prowler rims (17's in the front and 20's in the rear) then tell me where you park your car...leave the keys in it and turn off your alarm! Sound like a deal? Good, I'm game!

you know i was thinking of doing the whole 17's in front and 20's in the back but you could never really rotate your tires and that's a lot of cash to fork out if you want to be able to do it.

but yeah if you want to do it like that...... i'll make you a deal. you can go in on half for the rims and tires and i will give you my address with both sets of keys along with a 24 hour getaway time before i report it stolen. then i can get the 2004 300M my wife won't let me get unless i get rid or the trep. I just PMed you my address.

gotta love GAP insurance.;) J/K

Get the paint touched up and save the rest so you can do the rims & tires later ...

What's the mileage... are you into keeping cars for a long time? I'd start saving for a new car... of course I hate driving old cars but that's just me. To me they are money pits and you pay all this money to drive around in an old shitbox

I bet your paint is better then mine.

Go with the rims and deal with the paint after the winter.

More advice: Get a set of 20's with a good warranty 60,000 to 100,000 up front the money is gonna seem like a whole lot but that is a long time that you won't have to worry about those tires! Then get some good performance tires that aren't too outrageous for the 17's. It will be worth it!!!

The car was 31 and change... I put down 11K and borrowed 20K over 5yrs at 3.95% for a payment of $375/mo.

I know you can buy slightly used and get good deals but there is nothing like the feeling of having a brand new car that know one else has touched.
