removing window tint

here in the great communist state of maryland, if the tint doesnt have a cert from the state police, it wont pass inspection. so, i really dont want the tint anyway. what is the easiest way to remove it? heat? razor?

There was a recent post on this but I can't remember what the best method was, but you may find a razor blade with a handle on it the most effective, albeit messy. Just use the search button and use the key words "removing window tint" and I'm sure you will find it. Keep them Ospreys in the air (and us in business!).

Basically, lots of amonia will do the trick. You can use it straight (better bring a mask) or dilute it with a little water. If you can get the edge to peel a little this will help the amonia get to the glue and loosen it. The longer you let the amonia work, the easier it will be to peel off... ;)
