VIN help

Anyone know a web site where i can looking up my car history for free. I tried a few sites but so far they all wanted money and i dont have a credit card. Any info will help , thanks.

Generally, you can't look up your car's info for free. What exactly are you looking for? If you're checking to see if your car has had recall work, you could get that done by calling the dealership and asking. If its collission/repair/damage reports you're looking for, then the big bucks is what you're going to spend...sorry. Unless someone else has an extended account with Carfax that is on the site, you're SOL.

It doesn't cost big bucks.

It will cost you $19.99 for a single vehicle and like $24.99 for unlimited vehicles for a certain amount of time like say a month. Some websites like news channels will sometimes give you a link to get a free car fax report if they are doing a special on lemon laws or tampering and stuff like that.

JoeKD hooked me up with a sweet link but it no longer works. Try you local DMV and they can lok it up for you probably for like $40.

Thanks for your help. ill prolly jusy pay up somehow for the report.My only problem is to do it online , which id imagine was fastest , you need a credit card.Ill check into the DMV option .

About Vin Numbers how would i go about finding a vin on a 72 pontiac engine? can't locate it?
