Probably. But I think it only became available on certain chrysler models (Jeeps, Pacificas, and the like...more expensive vehicles. You should check it out at the dealer. They sell the kit, and I know its more than two wires.

A plug & play remote start system? That would be a first. Most are actually made by an aftermarket company and the dealer simply installs them just like any shop would. There would be several harnesses to connect to unless the vehicle was actually designed for it and had a special place to plug it in. But I thought the Malibu was the only vehicle available with OEM installed remote start???

i dont think tahe it ws an oem starter. i wish i could remember where i saw it. i want to say that i saw it on the dodge website where you can build and price a new vehicle. i think it was in the accessory part... you could order it and it was designed for your vehicle. that might be a play on words though. ill keep checking to see if it is still there. i know yesterday when i was looking for it, i couldn't. anyone else know what the heck i mean? i hope im not just seeing things.

More than likely what you saw was a dealer installed Mopar option. It's likely a Mopar branded unit, which is nothing more than an aftermarket unit with a Mopar sticker on it, that is installed by the dealer. IMHO, you'll get a better quality unit (assuming like most the Mopar rebrand is a cheap aftermarket unit) and better install if done aftermarket by a reputable shop...
