Son Of A Beatch!!!!

Well I am SO pissed off right now! I was at work today when my wife called me on my cell with some bad news. With having to work in the 30 degree weather, strong winds, and rain, she tells me that someone just slammed their door into mine at the corner store! Some dude getting out of a Taxi! She called the Police and made the guy stay there, but the cab took off. When the Police arrived they said the cab is responsible because anytime one car touches another it is considered an accident. So now the cabbie is facing charges for leaving the scene of an accident! It was definitely a depressing day at work. So when I got home I took a few pics in the garage. It is ugly in person! The entire door and maybe more will have to be repainted. It just seems like whenever I get ahead something tries to set me back! Anyways, on to the pics:

Am i the only one who realizes how bad that is? That's a dent, coupled with the fact that it looks like he went down to primer at least, can't tell from the pics. When you dump all the time and money into a paint job like he did, dam right he should be pissed, i know i would.

Yeah, I gotta agree, that blows! On my car, I wouldn't care, but it's a beater right now. But yours is done up too nicely to have that done to it! Are either the guy or the cabbie going to cover the cost of the door?

Maybe he will get all his friends to do one door each.

Big deal. Its a door ding. The cops have better things to do than that. I bet he doesn't pay.

Touch up paint, lol! Yeah for a factory color. That paint is House of Kolor's Kandy line. There's no touching it up.

If I had you car and this problem I'd say the same thing. But since that isn't the case...... "just a door ding" isn't it a person with a ride like mine's vocabulary! I don't care what the cops are doing or what they have to do, my taxes pay their wages so come when I call, period!

I did however contact Black & White cab company and spoke to the manager about the situation. He said his driver is responsible and that he will have him contact me with his insurance information. He said if the driver dosen't contact me by Monday then he will give me anything I need. Besides, the Police said the report won't be ready until Monday anyways so it plays hand in hand.

Atleast there are some folks on this great car site that understand the great effort and price of a custom job! There is a dent and the paint is gouged away leaving the primer. Since this is kandy paint, it cannot be blended. I could either redo the entire side of the car, or strip the door and wetsand the rest of the side. Then paint the door with the same specs as the rest of the car and then put a final layer over the entire side to blend it. Not to mention the filler, block sanding, and such! I'm so fu*kin pissed......

Yeah, tell me about it, lol! She is a great driver and since the bumper mistake she is on top of her game! I trust her, besides, love is more important than the car. Oh, and the little thing that I bought the Chevy so she now drives the Corde' a lot more, lol!
