Turbine speed sensors the same as input speed sensors?

I've been reading up to try and fix the problem I'm having with my tranny(stuck in limp mode). I know the last mechanic i took this car to replaced the turbine speed sensor. The car drove great for a week, and then start going into limp mode again. I've read on this site that the input speed sensor can be the cause of the car going into limp mode. But is the input speed sensor different than the turbine speed sensor or are these the same thing?

Thanks,
Mike

It is the same. The input and output sensors are what the TCM uses to calculate gear ratios. There are around 33 fault codes that can cause limp mode. These must be read with a scanner and the best place to do that is at the dealer. Tranny shops can read them too but usually cannot provide the CVI values which are nice to know. Just my $.02.
