WTF..no lugnuts!!!

So yea..I got my rims..YAY!!!..but no lugnuts came with them...so what do I do...go to advanced and get some or use my old ones or what...

Waht do you guys do in this situation

I took one of my stock lugnuts off to see if it fit and it did..but then my "lug nut getter offer" wouldnt fit in the hole..so if i did put them on and I got a flat I wouldnt be able to remove them..so any suggestions?

LOL, lugs alomost never come with the lugs! Go to a local tire company like Belle Tire (if you've got one) and they will get you all set up under $10. If you use your old ones they will bevel the whole out and ruin the rims, or worse... they could fall off! So be patient and get the right hardware because it's better to be safe then sorry!

And don't let some bonehead salesman tell you "these will work" without gaugeing the rim. There are many different types of nuts and they must be correctly matched with the rim holes or that nice expensive wheel will be passing you down the highway!

or better yet you will be passing it while you see an accident happen behind you and your car is sliding.

my friend had his old school impalas lug studs snap because he used the wrong nuts. fair warning.

Yeah also one suggestion from a AAA tow truck driver. Go and get a impact or regular deep socket that will fit the rim and nut. As we don't always carry them for the people that change there rims out. Would hate to have to tow you for a simple tire change.

When my bro got his rims from eBay, they didn't come with lugnuts either. He had to go to Discount Tire and get a set of lugs that will fit that little tiny hole (the regular lugs did not fit in the holes of the new wheel) and two lugnut adapters. I'm almost positive it only cost him like $20. And yes, always carry one of those lugs in the car, if not both. When I put his rims on the car, I did have to change out a flat, and if I wouldn't have had that adapter in the car, I'd been SOL.

the new rims will mostly take the "tuner" style lugs, look like a big allen wrench in the middle

Get Gorilla brand tuner style lug nuts, they fit better, look better and last forever.

Worth spending the extra money on.

The most important part of the lug nut is the angle of the mating surface. It must be the same as the rim it is interfacing with, and yes, different rims can have different angles. Make sure you get lugs for the specific rims...
