When to replace shocks and springs?
My Roommates dad seems to think that shocks need to be changed every 50K miles or so as regular maintenance. I've never heard of that and consider shocks and springs in that "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" catagory.
Personally, I look for accessive leaning in corners before I even consider looking at replacing worn or broken shocks and struts. But now that I think about it I've never replaced any for wearing out, only as performance upgrades.
So what do you all look for in order to figure out if your suspension components need replacing?
