Question dumb question about TSB's

Hi,

I know this is probably a dumb question, but where can I find a TSB index for my 98 Intrepid online? I need to take care of 2 problems (oil light flickering problem and heater resistor)

Thanks for helping me figure out what was going on with my car! I know what parts to get, but I don't know how or where to put them, so I need to find the TSB, I think....

Thanks in advance, I love this place!

Beth

Don't know which engine you have (assuming 2.7l when you said oil light flicker though).

TSB's

The TSB's on that page only list a brief description of the problem. They don't tell you how to do the repair. There is a service manual here on DINet that will show you how to do the repair. Just search for the service manual.

And all you get at that site for free is the title. There are a few places online you can get the full description with the part numbers required etc. but I don't have any links right off hand. I'm sure there are some guys on the site that have access to the full thing though that might be willing to post or PM it if you give them the number/title you're interested in...

TSB's are issued to cover problems that occur and there is no fix in the shop manual. An example is the vent tube for the differential on the A606 tranny. The expanded use of +4 tranny fluid to older Mopars was another. There is probably no TSB for your problem(s).

I found that a one yr. subscription to Alldata for both my 92 Caravan and 95 LHS was well worth the cost. Downloaded, copied, and filed everything they had. Just my $0.02.

Hi everyone,

Thanks so much for the help. I went to Dodge, got the parts I needed... it's kinda funny when I walk into a place and do that. Being a girl, they usually raise their eyebrows and ask "are you sure"?

Last time I needed something fixed, it was a tranny sensor. I looked up the problems in here and bought the parts. It was about $10 I think.

Then I took the car to a transmission shop and said "here, please replace these".

The guy tried to argue with me telling me that they had to do all kinds of diagnostics, etc. and I told him no, please just replace the sensors. He didn't seem very happy.

lol

That was 6 months ago, no problems ever since.

I love this forum, you are all awesome! --Beth
