Cool new here

Just sayin hi, I'm new here. I have a 98 LXi 3.2L with custom 2.5" dual exhaust, K&N intake system, cross drilled rotors and coming soon- twin turboed 3.2L running 300 ZX turbos and intake system. As soon as summer comes the motor comes out for the rebuild.

Having fuel problems right now. I had a bad Leak Detection Pump so I replaced it. The light is off now, but still getting bad mileage. any ideas?

For starters Welcome Aboard!
What brand custom exhaust do you have?
Will the fabrication be major to retrofit those turbos? Got any pics of your LXi?

exhaust

The exhaust was custom built by a company out here in Vegas, so it is a no name. The turbo system will be built when the motor is out of the car and the turbos themselves will take the place of the precats already on the motor. They are stock 300zx turbos, so pretty small. I am using APEXi electronics to run the motor and of course all the extras like larger injectors and higher flow fuel pump, probably a Walbro. The build will cost about 1500 when I am done, since I do all the work myself.

As for pics, I don't have any yet, and I need to wash the monster before I take some. I will say that I bought the brakes on Ebay and only paid about 110 bucks for all 4, and they are brand spankin new cross drilled discs. Shipping was included. I recommend them and will post their ebay name when I get a chance.

Well, gotta go.

rotors

Here is the guys eBay name for the rotors, he always has them and they are great. I have pics but don't know how to put them up.

nightsauto is his name

By the way, I figured out why I get really bad gas mileage. I filled the tank, drove 85 miles and it was already on empty. I went to fill it back up and it only took 5 gallons. By the way, I have a lead foot.

The sending unit and the float are messed up. 135 at the dealer. Also, if anyone gets a check engine light and the code for it reads P1494 - Manufact Contrl Aux Emission Controls- check your gas cap for a bad or hard gasket. If you have a doubt, replace it. I just spent 85 bucks on a new Leak detection pump, everything was working great then the light came on a day or two later. I decided to check for leaks and it turned out to be the cap. Oh well, I guess I COULD use a new LDP. :icon_neut
