New Project, Need Help

What up?

Alright, I have finally decided to start a project for the my Chrysler's console. I hate it how the 1993-1997 have like the little console and on the bottom it's empty with the carpet only showing. I know that not all of the Chrysler's have them but my model does and it really makes me mad because I hate it like that. Now here is the problem, if I go to the junk yard and get the console from the Chrsyler that goes in between the seats, I would have to get seats and do something about the transmission right? Since those types of models, the shifter is on the bottom instead of on the steering wheel. I also can somehow make it myself with whatever materials thats needed. If someone can somehow photoshop it for me or make me a custom desgin it would be really helpful. Thanks!

I'm willing to help you out with this, I know those other measurements are very general but we can work on adapting something to fit. One idea is check out something like a mopar minivan console. You might have to shorten it up, but its pretty nice except that its not a leather top or anything because its not intended as an armrest.

If you're good with fiberglass, then we could work up a design that you could build yourself. It would be fucking sweet, but a lot of work.

Alright, thats good. Couple of things I'll like to say. 1st) It doesn't have to be leather because who really wants to feel if its leather, I could careless if its plastic. 2nd) I want it to be a good decent size that will acutally let me put my belongings in there. 3rd) Dont want the cig lighter or ash tray to be messed with. 4) If I get it done by someone else, about how much would they charge? 5) I want to have a look that looks like its all connected. 6)If anyone can make a photoshop of the console itself then that will be very helpful 7) I want to keep the old console and just make a custom one that'll fit up in there and have a original look.

I posted some pictures to give you a idea of what Im talking about. Let this project begin. Thanks

Ahh ok now I have more of an idea of whay you're talking about. I didn't know if you were keeping your bench seats or not.

Whatever you build it out of, it can be painted to match your dash. Now I don't know nearly as much about first gens as second gens, but from that picture your dash around there looks like its wrapped in vinyl or something like that. If thats the case then you could just go to a fabric store and get matching color vinyl (or use a dye on it) and just wrap the console with it once its built.

If you went the vinyl route, then you could just keep it simple and build it out of wood. You wouldn't even be able to tell thats what its made out of and it would be much cheaper and easier than fiberglass. Not to mention that way you can build it yourself.

My car won't ever be done because I'm insane. That is all.

Alright, thats a good start. Now my dad is a excellent with wood but the problem is, work kills him so I can barely get to see him. If anyone can desgin a good console from the inside it will be great. Im trying myself but the one I make aren't coming out the way I want it. If its possible someone make me a nice console. Thanks, and whoever design the best one, I will surely put there name and somehow do something for them. Thanks alot tho

Here is the website of my current console and pictures of what I perfer. Thsese are the same pictures that were above but tripod is being gay so here's the link.
