How good of a driver are you?

Do you signal your turns?
Do you yield coming onto a highway to traffic?
Do you hate phone calls when driving? I do.
Do you hate left lane dumbasses with country club passes and 55mph consciousness while there is 4 miles of traffic behind them?
How many accidents have you had that you know you coulda prevented?

I've had 14 accidents between ages 16-20. (Minor) on local roads and ZERO on highways where I, must say go over the limits. None of those 14 were my fault. Only stupid drivers on cellphones, old ladies in parking lots.

Since age 20, I haven't had one. I've gotten much better at recognizing dangerous situation and scanning road ahead, plus checking rearview for tailgaters for a possible rear-end collision.
By the way, DMV doesn't call them "accidents" anymore. They are called "crashes."

Keep in mind, 99% air-traffic crashes are "pilot/human error" according to NTSB. 99% of car crashes are not driver error, they are accidents. LoL.

I use turn signals leaving my driveway.
I always look for 3 seconds while im on the ramp to get a good sightr of how the traffic is. then if i need to speed up i speed up if i need to yeild i yeild.
1 accidnet could have been avoided. The truck slammed on his brakes and my abs kinda make my tire skip and didnt slow fast enough i kinda lifted the truck with my hood and sent him foward about 3 feet. he got out and said his truck was fine while my radiator was going nuts spilling steam everywere.

1 accident that was my fault following to close.

since 15 1/2 ive been pulled over 15 times only got 1 ticket that was 101 in a 60.

Turn signal --> I use them 99% of the time. I get pissed at people who don't.

Accidents --> None with my Trep. My previous car had two, neither my fault. Funny, both accidents crushed the front left fender. When I bought the car, the dealer fixed the left front fender from the previous owner. That car was cursed.

Tickets --> Two speeding. One I was new in the area and was doing 5 over (bull shit). The other I was actually being stupid (90 in a 55, but only written as 10 or 15 over).

My age --> 28

I usually yield to traffic, mainly because I don't trust the other driver.

Cool

Yes I do when there is other cars around, I have been in 2 accidents that were not my fault, the 1st is when I was 17 a guy pulled out from a stop sign and it was snowing, I hit him in the drivers door but we were both O.K. My 2nd was 6 weeks ago were a 17 year old girl turned left in front of me and totaled my Crown Vic. I had the right of way. I have had around 15 speeding tickets in my life and most of which are over the past 9 years but then again I've also drove over 1.3 million miles in the past 9 years to get them...

1. I HATE people who refuse to use signals. It is in everyones best interest to let me, and other drivers around you know where you plan on putting that 2 ton SUV. Is it in front of me, off the ramp, are you making a turn? Why the hell are you stopping in the middle of the road???? Oh, your trying to make a right turn. That'd been nice to know before i went insane behind you, trying to figure out just what the hell you are doing.... It's easy as hell to turn them on. And guess what thats all you have to do. Just turn it on. Thats right! It will turn itself off all by itself!

2. Yield whenever possible, and it won't effect traffic around me(i.e. if i have to brake heavily, or make a quick lane change, I won't). Otherwise, the car merging will end up behind me.

3. I have a cell phone, I hardly use it, It stays in the car. I will not answer it while the car is in motion. I see to many morons on phones driving like there is no other cars on the road. I refuse to participate in that.

4. YES! Am I the only one in the chicagoland area that picked that up in driver's ed? The far left lane is for passing. If there is somebody behind you, move the hell over so he can pass you.

5. Oh accidents... I've been in 11, but the rear bumpers of my first two cars must have had bullseyes on the them I have had 1 that was my technically my fault. Hit some black ice, and rearended the other car. I've been rearended so many times it's ridiculus...

If you have issues with people not using turn signals, NEVER go to New Jersey. (I'm not hatin' Jersey... My gf is from there, heck, I practically live there)... And they trust their brakes too well... Get outta my trunk (my gf is guilty of this too... she's almost rear ended Guinevere TONS of times!)...
1. I use my signals at least 99% of the time, if not ALL the time.
2. I yield whenever possible. What I can't stand is when there is a merge onto a highway, and people ride the bumper of the car in front of them, so no one can merge... If everyone lets ONE person in, traffic would flow so much better... And you will only get where you are going maybe 1/2 a second later than you would have! And if you are merging ONTO the highway... Don't be the dick that tries to squeeeeeeze your 2 ton SUV into traffic when someone lets their ONE person in...
3. I try not to use the phone while in the car. When you are in the car as much as me, sometimes you have to... Thus, I have the hands free set... To answer, I just push a little button that sits at about my collar.
4. Even though it is a law (and posted constantly) in NJ and PA... There is always someone that decides the lane is for them... They putt along maybe at the speed-limit, maybe under... Get outa our way! ya can't pass 'em on the right! I've seen people pulled over for this! Also... If you can't (A) do the speedlimit, or (B) drive with the traffic on the highway... STAY OFF! You're more of a hazard than someone speeding!
5. 0 accidents I could have prevented
1 - Ice got me sideways - no damage though
2 - Had someone trying to "jump" into a spot on South Street, and just nicked my bumper, again, no damage
3 - Got T-Boned by some SUV that ran a stop sign... yeah... drivers door had to be replaced.
4 - Got rear-ended by a Ford 250... Grrrrrr... He was goin to fast in the snow...
6. Speeding Tickets? None (knock on wood). Radar Detector used now... Works good. Been pulled over a few times for "speeding" The cop was just being a pain, and pulled me over while doing within ten of the speed-limit... Got warnings all three times.
I hope this does not jynx me into a speeding ticket or an accident...
<--- will be knocking on wood all day now! lol

Turn signals yes...pulled over4 times total with no tickets given. One was for having my fog lights on in my 79 Datsun 210 during the day...I basically told the cop to piss off and quit harrassing me...those where my DRL's and if he doesn't like them go pull that car and that car and that car over for having them. The other times were on base. One time was for actually going 1 mile over...talk about your quota's. But other than that...perfect driving record...knocking on wood right now.

Now watch, I'll either get a ticket or in a wreck because of this thread.

1. Turn signals are optional in florida.
2. Old people are evil and must be passed at all costs.
3. Double yellow lines are just a guide to center your car on when driving home from the bar after a crazy night.
4. traffic lights were invented for inconsistant people.
5. School busses are only on the road to test the effectiveness of your passing gear.
6. Cops are only there to pull over the slow people in your way to walmart.

Actually i have been pulled over a few times, never been a wreck (knocking on wood) that involved anyone else. (wheels fell off)Oo
Never have had a speeding ticket. (only 1 non moving violation for touching off my airhorn next to a cop on a 4 wheeler causing him to spill his coffee).
It's good to be me

Turn signals I use 99% of the time, old peoples driving should be monitered by their next of kin, younger than they are. Accident haven't had any pass 10 years. Tickets last one 3 years ago driving an 03 Neon 98 mph, was going 110 slowed down to take a curb and got busted. I use my cell phone all the time while driving, LOL.

1. Always, I want the morons to know where I'm goin!
2. Yes, but always as fast as them, dont want to be the cause!
3. Wife answers the phone at all times, I'm busy!
4. Hate em! But just go around, I'm only going 70 in a 65 while every one else is going 80+!
5. Had two accidents under 20 years old, one driving in left lane, right lane was stopped she pulled out and nailed me in the pass. front quarter panel. Pushed a coronet broughham accross 5 (count em) lanes, said she was doing 15mph. Second, guy turned left into my door and drove off, cop wouldn't follow the coolant trail. Tickets, two of the worst ones you can ever get, learned my lesson!!!!!!!!!!!!!
