When it rains it pours.....

Just wanted to share my bad news with all of you

Last week I had a major water leak in my house, killed the crapet, and everything in the basement under it, fortunatly no structure damage

Finally getting things back to normal and Wed night my daughter breaks her arm. Went out for a bike ride and fell down, threw her arm out to protect her face and broke her forearm. 10 hours in the emergency room and now she wil have a cast for 6 weeks

What a great way to end the summer huh?

my daughter did that at the beginning of last summer. she fell off the monkey bars and i saw her elbow dislocate. i felt so helpless as a parent. they reset it in the emergency room and also had a cast for 6 weeks. kids rebound quick so six weeks shouldn't seem too long. just be sure she doesn't get it wet, that cast material can stink something fierce!!! oh, and good luck with the house....

Actually the cruel ironic factor is that she broke the elbow on this same arm when she was 3. That was a full shattered bone, pins set and physical therapy for 6 months due to her nerves being stretched.

This one is a clean break. The cast goes from her armpit to wrist to keep her from moving the arm at all which of course makes her miserable. Three weeks in the full cast then 3 more weeks in the half (forearm only) cast

Poor girl, I know what she is going through.

Broke both bones in my right forearm when I was six years old. The break was in such a difficult location to set that amputation (!) at one point was considered. To this day, the dexterity and grip in my right hand is much less than my left.

Damn that sucks. But I wished thats all I had to deal with. Start out with a flood in your den to where insurance will not cover as I do not have flood insurance. Not in a flood zone-not required. I know better now. Before that is fixed, fridge goes out loose all food in it, have a repair guy come out...fill fridge with food only to have it all ruined by morning. After that, the dishwasher goes out, car goes into the shop for repairs, car comes out, we get audited by the IRS, car goes whacko again, back in for repairs. Car 1 comes out, car 2 goes in. Go on vacation to have it do nothing but rain and you turn into a buffet for mosquitos, go to San antonio for a doctors appointment for your kid who you think is having seizures only to have the doc tell you he believes he has a severe case of ADHD and possible heart condition. Leave the doctor and try to make a 4 hour trip home, only to drive at a whopping 4MPH because your f***ing fuel pump is dying, it is 106 outside, kids are cranky, dad is getting pissed at wife for not taking car number 2 (mine), wait 3 hours for a tow truck to deliver the car at the shop 50 miles away at home have to be at work at midnight the same night for 12 hours. Car gets fixed things are great until about 10 minutes ago...got a call from a bill collector for an energy bill that I thought was already taken car of for $350 and payment needs to be paid in full by Monday at 5pm. Yeah I will pay them...when I feel like it rate hiking sonsofbitches. With me, I guess if I didn't have bad luck I wouldn't have any luck at all. Sorry to hear about your kids arm Joe. Hope her arm gets better.

Well, I guess she will have to settle for some real fun...time for 1-2-3 go!

My younger brother had surgery on both shoulders so I've been around grumpy crips recently...good luck!

Sorry to hear about your daughter......

My son broke his arm, jumping over that steel barrier to seperate parking lot from picnic area, (like the stuff on the side of the road next to a big hill), he cought his foot on it, and landed on his head and forearm, I started to chuckle till he started howling, it was a clean break up near his wrist......

Hope all is well with your puppy, I hate having to put pets down, no matter how long you've had them........

Good luck man!!!!!!
