IAC and TBI cleaner

My Idle Air Control sensor was extemely junked up last time I pulled it, wondering if it would hurt it to shoot a little throttle body injection cleaner on it to try to get the crap off when I clean it this time?
Any other suggestions also appreciated...gotta get my idle smoothed out somehow.
My intake manifold gaskets were bad but replacing them only fixed the idle halfway....kinda wondering if the dealer did a proper job of it, last time I had bad gaskets fixed my idle returned to absolutely perfect.

Definately clean the IAC off. Make sure you clean the port in the TB too. Clean around the throttle plate and body too. Also, check the pcv valve, vacuum hoses for leaks, and the spark plugs.
