Old Trep sighting!

Like I posted a few days ago in my Intrepid's sig thread, I happened to pass by the damn thing a few days ago. "I'm surprised they sold it this fast", was my first thought. So yesterday I went to the supermarket with my wife and lo and behold, the Trep swung into the lot and parked a pretty close to us in the LHS.

In this first photo, you can see the Intrepid in the foreground and down the line the LHS is sticking out.

Second picture is up close... dealer tags.

And here the Special exhaust tip is very obvious and a sure way of recognizing the car. Plus of course the little sticker on the trunk I never got around to taking off...

It was very weird to see someone else driving the car - it looks like he lives around here and so I'll see the car often. But it's like it's still "my car", you know?

Has anybody have that happen to them? Seeing the car you sold or traded in driving around the neighborhood and if so, how did you feel about it?

Yeah, I see my old Corolla around here every so often. Glad I got rid of the POS.

I see my taurus SHO running around here all the time also. I miss it for being a really fun sporty feeling car but i sure as hell don't miss puting the money in it and the headaches of getting it fixed.

That's why I kill all my old cars. Can't have another man being inside my old car, now can I?

1979 Celica - Hit by Oldsmobile landbarge. Scrapped.
198? Sunbird - Quit running. Scrapped.
1994 Probe SE - Ran into a ravine. Totalled.
1996 Intrepid - Hydrolocked. Totalled.
1993 Probe GT - Give me time...

My Intrepid went to auction, dealer didn't even want to mess around trying to sell an 11 year old car.

The Dakota was sold again within 2 days of being put on the lot, but the dealer is pretty decent drive from here, I doubt I'll see it again.

I doubt it'll bother me anyways if I do see it. Heck I might give the guy the other key to the spare tire lock, and the hood cover that I don't need.

it feels wierd and funny having someone driving around in your car. I had a 89 taurus and 3 weeks after i sold it to this girl it was stolen out of her driveway. I was happy she was pissed. What a damn lemon that was. My sister had a 91 dynasty mint condition. tranny was going so we sold it. saw it around the neighborhood. Then a few weeks later saw it and looks like a bomb went off on the outside of her. Door were smashed but still driveable. But yes looks and feels funny someone else driving a car u once owned. My other sister drove a dodge 93 shadow. We sold it to a guy at my job and it has over 120,000 miles on it. He loves the car. I see it every morning. He wont part with it. but its funny seeing him drive it.

Im waiting to see my trep show up on here, my sister saw it at walgreens down the street like a week after i traded it and it still had my di.net decals on it. I was in orlando when she called me and it bothered me at first especially when the new owner is so close but then i realized i traded it in for a reason.

Back when I lived in Minnesota, I saw my old Taurus, Escort and 94 Acclaim driving around town. They were in worse condition then when I sold them. I eventually saw the 94 Acclaim at a junkyard, the Taurus at a police auction and the escort long gone.

my dad always sees his old dakota around here, he's pssed too because the guy who bought it from the dealer he traded it to is a complete redneck and doesn't take care of the truck.... I swear, everytime we see it, there's a new dent on it

I haven't seen my old Intrepid. It did sell a day after we traded it in and would still love to spot it somewhere.
