Wow, looks like somebody got a deal. I paid about twice that for mine and that was a good deal and it doesn't have a sunroof. Granted, that was a year and a half ago and it only had 62k.

I don't know where you bought your car Vertigo but Ebay deals are not always what they seem to be. For every 10 great ebay deals there are probably 1 bad deal.

I buy and sell on Ebay and buying is sometimes a dissapointment. That's only on old car parts. I can't imagine "clicking" 1/2 a year's pay on something I've not seen in person.
The seller's idea of MINT may not be your idea of mint condition.

Even local deals are slightly risky. For example when I bought my LHS 7 years ago. There were some private deals about $1500 cheaper but handing over cash in a driveway was not as confidence inspiring as writing up a sales contract at a Chrysler used car dealer.

i agree pics are very deceiving, its really better if you can see stuff in person. A friend of ours bought a car being sold locally and the seller "forgot" to mention the car has not been run in the last year and it ran perfectly the last time he drove it (1 yr prior to sale) of course the car would not turn over.

So ebay may in a sense give u the impression of a good deal, be happy with what u have.

There are some good deals on Ebay. I should start a poll just to see how many people have purchased a car from ebay. I bought a Mustang GT a few years back and still I have no complaints.

Yea, I saw that too. Check the feedback...

ABSOLUTELY HORRID. I would not buy a car from them. They sound like thet buy them really cheap and sell them, granted its a good way to make money, the cars don't seem to be worth it that they sell.

Yeah very true I didnt check the feedback, but still for 3000 I still would probably risk it. looking at the pics I would swap my back bumper with that one since that one had some dings on it which were not really mentioned....

Even out of 400, those feedbacks would deter me from buying that. Unless the negative feedback is something like 'Did not respond quickly' or 'The car had a flat tire,' then I would not even bother. It seems like they have very shady deals.

They most likely buy these cars at auctions cheap and turn them around for sale on ebay and other places. I doubt they know much about the car and it's history. So I'm not surprised there are some negative feedback on them. But damn that does seem like a hell of a price. At 97K you should expect it has or is going to have some problems. The only thing that worries me about these auction guys is not knowing where the car comes from. Is it a rental, demo, lease, what?

At that price I'd probably take it for a shakedown run, look it over carefully and if all seemed well, I'd risk it.

You and me Vertigo, we are from different world's.
You want under market value and you will most likely get a good deal on something under average condition.

Me. I am willing to pay top buck for vehicles in pristine condition. May not be such a factor on 2 or 3 year old cars but the older they get, the more I wouldn't want a neglected car.

A perfect example of this is I'm trying to sell my Thunderbird. It's way above average condition. Problem is I'm advertising it above market value. Zero calls, only a few people that seen the for "sale sign" have inquired.
I sometimes wish I had a pile of junk to sell. I'm sure the phone would be ringing if it was in for a few hundred bucks.

The reason I woulda got that is because if I noticed anything wrong or damaged, Interior, Body, Most Mechanical. I could easily swap it out with the parts in my car (which I keep in very good condition) having the same color inside and out. Then sell my 2.7 trep for a cheap price and end up really making out with a deal. That was my plan anyway if I did end up getting something like that off Ebay. But I can completely understand where your coming from jfsram I actually agree with you. I just have the parts if I need em which may be one of the main reasons ppl buy stuff like that or take that risk.
