I've seen many of them here in Georgia. Look badass

I love the way the headlights look on that car. Very agressive front end. I wouldnt want one chasing me down.

We have one of these in town. Looks quite menacing. I never have a camera around when I see it though.....

The FHP I see are running Ford Intercepters (Black plains/ Black and Yellow marked) and the County Mounties are running Caprice and a few Intrepids. The plain blacks have dark tint and chrome 17's and look pretty sweet. Can't believe they have chrome, but they are trying to go incognito. Those Chargers look awesome though.

Was talking to the brother-in-law, who is Highway Patrol, about what they are thinking about the Chargers that they have. He said that they are nice in terms of speed, but are having a lot of mechanical problems, mainly the brakes. They are wearing out fast and having to be replaced every 3000 miles. Seems like Dodge should have put the brakes from the SRT8 models on the police package.

They use 2007 tahoes, 2007 explorers, 2nd gen intrepids and brand new crown vics here, just spent $800,000 upgrading to newer vehicles

Oops, seems like the Intrepid police brakes nightmares all over again.

My origional brakes lasted 25K under normal use. ONE freaking full stop from 100 mph and they were warped for good. This does not belong on a pursuit certified police car.

Well, luckily for me, my original brakes on my Trep lasted until I wrecked it at 155,000 miles. They did warp somewhere in the 70,000 mile range. But to be fair, I lived out in the middle of nowhere for most of the miles, so they were all highway miles which = no need to brake a lot.

I saw a Dodge Magnum police car of some sort on the highway this morning. Didn't realize it was a police vehicle till I got closer. It was on the shoulder of the highway and I was going way too fast to get the camera out in time.

It was all black, dark tints, black police steelies and the way I knew it was a police vehicle was the unmistakable skinny light bar at the top, the same one that comes with the new Charger and all new police vehicles for that matter.

According to some Chargers can pull off flat 15's through the 1/4 loaded with police equipment.

Chargers have been fixed according to some on the LX's. Worlds away from the Intrepid nightmares that were happening. Also a much better car for police use, Chrysler really trashed themselves by putting the Intrepid into police use, should have never been, it was too fragile to say the least.

Agreed.

The Intrepid is a nice big flashy family car but would get trashed up quickly hoping curbs and pit manuvering SUVs. My front bumper seem to have less clearance than a rice civic!

Performance is right up there with the older Impalas and Crown Vics though.
