DIY Question: Removing lettering

I am looking to remove my intrepid letters from my trunk lid. Just wondering if anyone knows where I can get the materials to do this and what materials I need. Thanks in advance.

Nice.

All this time I thought the letters are riveted on.

wait.. so the side moldings on the doors are just on there with adhesive (1st gens, the stip in the middle of the doors)?? mine look like hell and it would be awesome to get them off, Ive always thought that theres holes behind them or something and youd have to do some metal work or use filler in them

I just used my fingernails, towels and some good old fashioned 3M adhesive remover....found at any Home Depot/Lowe's etc.

yep, their only on there with adhesive. To make things easier do it on a warm day after its been in the sun or like the others said might need a hair dryer depending how stuck they are.

Did you guys have trouble doing the molding on the sides? I want to do that next. Or is it just time consuming do to the amount of adhesive?
