Climate Control Question

On my 04 Concorde LXI, I have the auto climate control
During my 1st two weeks of ownership, the pictures lit up
for front defrost, rear def, and def/foot settings.

As of today, the def pics don't light up ... yet the blend door seems
to work perfectly. The other settings all light up, just not the 2 defrost
pics. Don't get me wrong ... defrost works, just doesn't illuminate.

I still have some goodwill warranty from the Chrysler dealer, so I'll drop
the car off on Tuesday.
Is it likely a bulb, or will the whole climate unit have to be replaced?

Is this a common failure ... the car has 80klm, or 50,000mi.

Thanks in advance.

there are bulbs inside the head unit. they might have blown out. im not sure on the 04s if they are replaceable. i know the 1st generating concordes and intreps are replaceable. at the junkyard u can pickup another unit and take it apart for the bulbs and see if they r replaceable before messing with the inside of your car.

Well ... this feels kind of dumb.
I went outside a few minutes ago, started the car, and the defrost
symbols lit up perfectly.
Just a glitch, I guess?
I really wasn't looking forward to the dealer ripping apart my dash ...
I don't have any rattles yet, but the dealer would surely leave a few behind.

You can try running the built in ATC diagnostic test.

If it is the bulbs you can change them yourself and save the cash for other mods instead of giving it to the dealer. Or you can package it up and send it to me and I can do it for you for what the dealer would charge......just kidding.
