WANTED: HID kit pics....

I just want to see this for fun, i only had my kit for about 2-3 days and then i installed my projector headlights.

If you guys have the following it would be neat to see. (beam shots, maybe head on as well)

1. 9006 ebay style kit rebase
2. d2r/d2s slapped to the back of the headlight
3. all projectors are welcome of course.... i gotta see more of terminators, i saw it in person but when i was a juvenile at the game.

Thanks,
Ciprian

avenger, ur cutoff looks much better than halogen LOL>.... maybe its too close??

BTw no im not going to rub it in ur face, i just want to see the results, since the 9006 rebase way will work for sure, this slapping a d2s on the back of a 9006 is what has me puzzled.

Obviously projectors cant be compared but reflector but the beam should be somewhat defined even with a kit.

U prob wont believe me, but ive never seen a kit trep yet, well not in person anyways.... just Shauns for a bit. I want to see the new idea, it would safe a lot of trep owners a lot of cash + work.

Thanks for the pics Avenger, theyre SOOOO BLUE.. do u go to Markham every so often?? i saw an 8k trep there for the first time, it had reg rims but it was at night so who knows.

the condition of the housing will greatly affect not only the intensity but the beam also. The hazed housings (completely) seem to have this round circle/square beam... which is heavily amplified with HID..

You have the d2r setup right Carlos??? the one that just stays in there with the yellow screw things.. I want to see ur beam the most... if that actually works its gonna be very easy to get HID around here.

Yeah I have the D2R setup and yes they are not truly rebased 9006 bulbs. I have to remove the retainer install the bulb and then put the retainer back on to hold the bulb in the housing.

I will try to get some pics tonight but any of the guys that were at the Forest City meet can tell you they are bright as hell but the headlights need to be adjusted (but as my luck would have it the adjustment screws do not work).

Hopefully smartass Scott (04IntrepidSXT) and/or one of the guys that hung out at Dave's house the night of the meet can tell you that even though the lights need to be adjusted they still do not blind on-comers and people I am riding behind of, yet the light up the WHOLE roadway....LOL

IDK, I don't have problems with blinding drivers, noone really complains. The glare isn't bad at all. Foglights minus reflectors is another story though :p

(wrong quote, meant the one about foglight reflectors)

I had a similar issue. Kept getting flashed on the road when I got brighter bulbs and removed my reflector. I'm always driving through areas where kids are running through the streets at 11 pm so i need the lighting.

His headlights are far more annoying(not blinding) then any factory or Projector retrofit

I think that the majority of the problem is the missing foglight reflectors
