1st or 2nd Gen?

Which of you think is better? (Intrepids mainly) Whether it's performance, looks, etc. The 2nd gen looks too "bubbly".

2nd gen reminds a lot of ppl of a 'rocket ship'. More curvy and aerodynamic, but if that's not your thing, that's coo.

I used to really like the 1g's......even when the 2g's were released, I still liked the 1g's......eventually my views totally switched, and I liked the 2g's a lot more.

IMHO the 2nd Gen blows away the first gen for styling.

The 1G was great in its day, but with the 2G came tons of refinement, and it's still as fresh & modern as many 2007 models out there today IMHO.

In my opinion the first generation Intrepid looks better. I like the shape of the hood, the smaller headlights, (even if I canít see at night because of them), the viper-ish looking front, the lower wider look, and although it looks nice from a little ways away, the seam between the trunk and the body of the 2g, which goes around the lights always bothered me. Now I did like the looks of the 300m, especially the special, better then the first or second generation intrepid.

1Gs are very sharp, I like'm. But, for design & feature refinement I gotta go with the 2G.

Buffalo has a point though. I didnít think I would ever look twice at an Intrepid first or second generation until I saw mine, which was the first clean black one I think Iíve seen since the first gens were new and were still being produced back in the mid 90ís. Iíd take a 2g, with the HO 3.5 of course, over 95% of the battle worn 1gís I see around here in Montana.

i liked the 1gs when they came out, they look old and outdated to me now, I hated how my aunts 2g looked, next thing you know i bought it, and now i love it! Go figure

Love both cars just think the 2G is more modern styling. But I would take a 1G in a New York minute. In fact I am always looking for one for my son or myself as a project car.

I grew up with the 1st gens. 1st gen Intrepids, Visions and Concordes get my vote. Second gens are nice, but they dont really have those bolt long lines that the 1st gens have. I'd take a 2nd gen though.

Well one of my best friends had an Intrepid for a long time, which made me want an Intrepid. I didnt like the 2nd gen at first because of how the rear of the car was in the air. But now after seeing this site and all that. I want a R/T or even a 2nd gen lol. I think both models looks great and as said up there. I respect everyone on this site!
