i got an 06 dakota slt magnumv8

............well i rented one anyways lol.
my cars gettin the tranny replaced and i went to the car rental to hopefully get the aveo back i loved so much... .. but the only thing they had was this dakota. i normally get a hookup on rentals here on base for 30 a day, but they charged me an extra 5 bucks for it bein a truck... still good if you ask me.

my wife picked it up, and she drove me back from dropping off the trep earlier. i havent driven it yet, but i must say im impressed with the design. its a quad cab. i like the styling of the body and the fender flares are bad ass. the enterior is really roomy and well designed.

tomorrow morning i have a 20k ruck march (about a 12 mile walk with 40lbs of gear on) and ill bedriving the truck all day. i cant wait to see how she drives. my wifes in love with it. ive always been a mini truck guy but this things nice. i like it more than the full size 1500. it seems to me like the dakota is a full size and the 1500 is giant, but the only truck ive driven was my ol 92 mazda b2200 so.....

its the same color as yours. i drove it to and from the road march today and its awesome. this road march was something else lol. for some reason i decided to run the last mile or so. 12 miles doesnt sound like impossible or anything, but belive me it sucks. ive got a quarter size blister on my foot and i can barely freakin walk. i did get the best time out of everybody . but man im moving around like a ive got freakin hemrhoids lol.

Compared to trucks from the 70's and 80's I'd say this is true.

There is much to like about trucks until it's time to fill them up.
I've learned to live with it but I don't drive mine everyday.
