I got me a Hemi!

Well, it was time to replace my wife's Durango. I bought her a new Durango for Christmas! A loaded SLT with all wheel drive, 3rd row seat, rear entertainment system (the kids Chrstmas present) and a HEMI. What a sweet ride.

Anyone interested in a well maintained 2000 Durango SLT Plus with the 5.9 liter magnum engine, 4x4, 4 wheel ABS, full leather, 3rd seat and towing package? It has just under 74,000 miles. In the last year it received 4 new Bilstein shocks, tune up, battery, brakes, 4 wheel alignment and all fluids flushed and replaced. It is in excellent condition! See ebay ad 150082061841 or contact me directly if interested.

Now i am waiting for the new Challenger to come out so I can replace my 2000 Intrepid RT!

Not SUV's allowed in our budget but I have driven a 4.7L Durango before.

What are the differences between your old and new Durango.

The independent rear suspension really makes for a more controlled ride. The 5.7 Hemi has more "life" than the 5.9 Magnum. The new one has a better sound system, rear entertainment system, 60/40 rear (3rd) seat, heated seats and seats 8 (vs.7). My wife loves it. And i enjoy driving it.

The 5.9 was rated at 12/16. We got around 12-13 around town. The new 5.7 is rated at 14/20. We only have 2000 miles on it so too early to get a good read. The first two tanks around town were abot 15 mpg. The 3 tanks while on a 900 mile trip on the interstates were 16.7 with the cruise set at about 78-80.
