Home Theater Help

I have a jvc RX-DP10 reciever I have noticed that I have lost my sub channel. I have two subs piggy backing each other, and I have checked them and they are fine. My question is does the sub channel have a fuse that might have blown? All seven other channels are working fine......

wow what a turn. did see this becoming a theater site for help. lolol. umm there might be a fuse on the amp part of the sub. check your wires again. if 2 wires crossed each other it would blow the fuse. check the reciever also there might be a fuse on panel on the back for subs. also check reciever that its in 7.1 mode or whichever one it needs to use the sub. example dolby mode or surround modes. good luck

what a nice reciever. i guess there isnt a fuse panel on the back of that unit. umm check that a wire didnt get loose or disconnected. Check the wires to the subs themselves. if the subs have amps built in check the power and fuses on the sub box itself. hope some of this helps

Sorry mine is the RX-DP15 not 10, I realized I had put the wrong modle when I seen the photo I have components ins on my unit. I have checked the subs and they seem fine. Double checked the wiring and all seems good when I run a speaker test all seven channel work fine but nothing on the sub channel. Is it normal for the sub channel to have a fuse????

If the sub has an amp built in it most likely has a fuse or the transformer might be bad.

how are the subs hooked to the amp? are they powered? are you using the receiver amp to power them?

Both subs power on and I Have tried them both. Its seems like the amp is not putting a signal out. I was thinking transformer but all they other channels work fine???

so they're powered subs and you got the LFE signal ran to them and your not getting sound...
i doubt there's a fuse on the LFE output...if you were powering them off the internal receiver amp i'd say check fuses but i don't know which way to point you now...maybe something on the board went bad...
