Opps, cooked one.

Ok, so to start off I gotta say my aunt isn't too good with cars.

Her 2000 Neon (auto) apparently broke tranny a cooling line and lost its fluid while she was driving. She said it felt slow and jerky all day while she drove it here and there. (probably at least an hours drving time) and she kept having trouble getting it to go into reverse. Now she has it at a garage and reverse doesn't work at all, but it will still go forward. The guys first guess was that the "clutch pack was probably welded together"

I'm thinking its probably time for a whole new tranny or a rebuild, anyone have any input.

i think you are right that it probably welded the clutch pack together since that is how i got my 93, the last owner drove it with a busted cooling line till it wouldn't move. and i had no reverse but forward did work but when it tried to change to 2nd it would kill the engine, so i pulled the tranny and was going to have a chrysler mechanic rebuild it, but when he took it apart that is when he found that is was all welded together and was not worth rebuilding, so i bought a trans from a junkyard.
