It's -4 F this morning, and my car cranks. It just won't turn over. I have searched this forum and tried every suggestion so far, and have almost killed the battery in doing so. I am already late for work, and am no closer to fixing the problem.
Cranks and turning over are the same thing. I think you mean it won't fire up or it won't start. Try dry gas. Most likely a frozen gas line. Dump in a bottle or two and let it sit for an hour or so. Takes time to work.
Yeah, my wife's LHS needs to have Heet dumped in the tank BEFORE it gets too cold or the gas lines freeze on sub-zero temps. Be careful and don't burn out the starter. IIRC, you shouldn't crank it more than 30 seconds at a time, with a couple of minutes between tries. It's about $130 for a new starter, found out the hard way.
