airbag corners popping out on corde

http://s9.photobucket.com/albums/a91...0205071504.jpg

check out the pic above. i hope airbag dont pop out on me. seems like when it gets cold material on car gets cold and causes it to come out. warm weather it gets mushy. im not sure if there was a recall or a service bulletin on this. they will probably charge me a arm and a leg to repair it.

Seriously though,
The air bag won't "pop out". It needs to be activated by an impact to inflate.
I've seen alot of 1st gens with dodgey looking passenger airbag covers.
Nature of the beast with time and age, I guess.
Check with the dealer if you are wondering about a recall......

Cheers

BJ

A lot of us have this problem. It's seen in a lot of cars 10+ years old.

i guess im lucky my 94 is in perfect shape, it might be cause they where replaced before i got the car, previous owner had them deploy on him twice, last time about a year before i bought it from him.

My 94 LHS has the same thing and I guess it's the sun that does that since it was a Florida car before I got it, and as we know it get's hot in there during summer. I doubt there's any danger of it exploding , on the contrary on these older cars I'm worried the airbags don't work anymore.....
