new fog light retro ... better or worse?

IVe been working a new design for a while. So heres the first one. FOr the intrepid foglight with a 2005 maxima stanley h3 housing. IT fits in the same oem space as the original retro but its a little mroe enclosed i think (larger bezel).

Let me know what you think of the new desing in the poll.

This is the new design (not installed yet, other side is still drying)

This is the old design

I like the Hella's better personally since they're so small and have a great output, but the Maxima's are ok too. Bottom line is whatever you like better since you are out to please yourself ultimately and our suggestions are just that, suggestions.

Meh......to me it depends on how they look at night. The look of the projector doesn't matter if it doesn't do the job.

true, i wanted to come up with a new design since i have so many spare fogs now LOL.

I personally think the maximas are brighter than the hellas, the cutoff is just terrible in terms of colour but its great for fogs.

IF anyone is retrofitting these fogs make sure you follow the markings, they are side specific and throw more light on the sides.

I tested them tonight and they are really bright vs my old ones. The cutoff is not as sharp as expected but the output and foreground is very intense and noticeable even with HIDS. They basically fill the gap of the my TLs.

Also a few notes on the auto switch mod, you can make fogs come on during auto mode but they will not stay on after the car is turned off. Its strange but it makes sense i guess. If lows are on auto with fogs engaged both fogs and lows will come on when it gets dark and lows will stay on timer only.

Good luck guys, pics will follow. It was -15C outside and i aimed them underground, i nearly froze up just getting into my car.

So do you have any sets completed that say you are willing to sell and get an OEM set from me to add back to your inventory?
