Eagles....For My Eagle

I put this in the Genral area, manily cause it a failry new tire and many people dont have it. So I 'm here to write about it. as i drive on them more and more i will update it...

So here they are,

225/60R16 H Rated Goodyear Eagle Response Edge Perfomrance Touring Tire.
And yes, I hate my rims also. But I needed Tire More. Chrome Don't Get you home.

So far, I am Happy with them, Road Noise is Bare Min. The Ride, comapred to my last tires, which were only Invader GTs, I would say, like a air ride almost. My friend also describe it like this. It reminded him of his dad 95 Cadiliac Deville's Ride. On highway speed in excess of 80, Smooth and very Crisp handling, slight touch and the car responds.

I am hopeing ot fully test the tires once I go out on certin roads. The car can now pull some serious G's in the corners. I have yet to make them Scream, and I have hit 70 on a hairpin turn getting onto the highway...

Is it just me, or did you put tire shine on the treads too?

I bought mine back in December. The tires are silky smooth all the way to the limiter. And they look way better on my car.

BTW, how much did you pay altogether for them mounted, balanced, etc ?

Those tires are crazy. They have a carbon fiber sidewall. I chose the Triple Treds over them due to the crazy weather in my area, but those two tires, the Assurance Triple Tred and the Eagle ResponseEdge are probably some of the best tires Goodyear makes for our cars.... except for the Eagle F1 that is!

I couldn't be happier with the TripleTreds, but I am glad to get some feedback on the ResponseEdge. Judging from the tread pattern, the ResponseEdge may have a bit better traction in the dry than the TripleTred.

After trying the new tires, it's hard to imagine that Goodyear STILL makes the Eagle GA...... The GA is a crappy tire and it costs almost as much as the ResponseEdge or TripleTred!

Looks good. Just got quoted for tires on my 97 Dodge Ram 1500 and they are going to be 550.00 or so.

Last Night I took my car out and really gave it a run for its money. these tires I am mor eimpressed. I now will recomend them to everyone. I did find out that my 115mph limiter is still intact!!! These tires provided a smooth firm ride all the way up. Around sharp corners, they held, in fact it almost felt the harder i pushed, the more they gripped.

I Love My tires no. Compeletly different car now...

Ohhh there are some places you get potentially hit 108 or whatever the limiter is around there. Couple of the big bridges, just go with a buddy and have him drive ahead of you aways to check if it is clear, lol.

That's not a bad price at all! Not at all. Tires look versatile as hell, with the multi-facets in the tread design.

yeah, today, and hoesntly im not lying. in a 96 Z71 i test drove after my landlord fixed it. i hit the 100mph limiter in it. then after i got it home, he handed me keys to a 94 Camaro Z28 auto and said to test drive it. i said where. he said Highway.

for a car that sat for 2 years, have hte engine hand rebuilt and put together. it took off to a 120 very nicely.....but i didnt want to lose my license so i let off at 120...

I still luv my tires thought. i have gained aleast 20 mph faster in corners than before.
