Tool to replace CV Joint boot?

This is really a followup to my "How to remove a tough wheel hub?" However in the process of trying to hammer my driver's side front wheel hub off I ended up seperating the CV-Joint boot. So now I've got the grease oozing out(I've stopped this as best I could) and the large section of the Boot is off. Not the boot seems like it's in fine condition. But I have never replaced a CV Boot and am not sure the proceedure. I have read about it in the manual but was wondering if anyone here has first hand experience.

The manual had the hole drive shaft out of the car making refill the grease much easier. Has anyone ever tried to refill them with the shaft installed in the car? Also what tool do I need to put that buckle back on? Do I need to buy a new buckle or can i reuse the old one?

Thanks in advance for any help,
