300M 2.7 from Finland

I've gotta admit that this car still in 2015 looks good.
300M is a rare car in Finland (and in Europe), but I'm a proud owner of one.

Nice looking! Did the mouse motor M's / export also come with leather?

Yes it does look good. A rare item overseas.

The 300M's are getting rarer in the the States also....

Thanks!
With mouse motor it was optional (mine is cloth), with 3.5L imports it was standard.
Or that's what I've heard.
Mine is a rare combination, cloth & sunroof lol (and the "AB" Infinity amp)
This is what it looks like inside:

Even with cloth it is classy. Thanks for update.

Side markers would be a nice addition for US cars. One of our Euro members might think about hitting yards and stripping side markers for sale on BST to US members.

Headlight washer/wipers might be too much work too expensive.

Very nice!

Did it come with the wood trim steering wheel/dash/door panel trim? If so that would be pretty well optioned for having the 2.7L engine.

Thanks!
I think I haven't seen any 2.7 with extra wood trims, only some late 3.5 ones with the newer tail lights too. Maybe there is some in the later 2.7 ones.

ATM I'm trying to find those 6,5" front door speakers from Finland, but looks like they really don't have any 2ohm speakers.. What kind of speakers are those (and what do you recommend)?

You're welcome!
I have always been thinking why the headlights and such things are different in imports and in the US. My own guess is EU laws etc.
Speaking of the lights; how can I change the "map reading" lights without breaking something?

To swap out the bulbs in the map lights (the ones at the overhead computer), there is a screw towards the front of the bezel that has to be removed, then pull down on the bezel. Almost every time you will feel like you are going to break it, but it always seems pop loose rather than breaking. It also takes a good amount of effort when pushing it back up to get it to pop into place. Bulb size is either a 168 or 194, can't remember which specifically but they interchange and LEDs are available (and a nicer alternative to incandescent in my opinion).

The one thing that caught my attention is your rearview mirror. Is that just a standard mirror or does it also have an auto-dim feature? Looks like the same mirror that is used on a base model intrepid but I would think that an auto-dim mirror would be standard even on the European M's.

Thanks for info! Yea, I've been thinking to put LEDs there somewhere in the future.
That rearview mirror has dimming feature but only when it's on, it has a grey plastic button under the mirror, as you can see. There is a green light on when dimming is on. I haven't seen that kind of a mirror either.

It's like that.
In that picture it's upside down.

Another difference between Europe and US versions seems to be the side mirrors.
In the US the base model's side mirror looks like this?
Well, in Europe, haha:

And hey, is it a common problem that the AC screen tends to go off randomly and when you knock the screen it goes (sometimes) on again? (Controls work just fine but the screen goes off.) Can that be fixed anyhow?

There are 3 resistors in the climate control unit that tend to have bad solder joints. A lot of the time, heating up the joints and adding some solder can fix it but I have seen several that were just plain dead.

The non-folding side mirror was only used on intrepids as far as I know. Everything else that I know of has folding mirrors; although I can't say right off hand that I have ever seen a folding mirror that was flat black. Maybe I haven't paid enough attention while in the junkyards, but most all are either gloss black or silver unless they are non-folding.

Yes, indeed.
In Europe models they're originally with the 2.7 (EER) or the 3.5 as in the US also.
