300m Special and my truck

It hit me after I parked next to my semi, that they both have matching color schemes. LOL

True

Black is still the best color.

I always liked the gold/copper look on wheels, subaru style that is. I was just curious as to how my M would look with that. I have a feeling most people prefer the original look on this car but a few cans of plastidip later (which is entirely removable) I ended up with this look.

Sorry, I don't think it looks good at all.
I'd remove it as soon as possible.

Like the wheel color, but not on a black car.

I agree mean, I like the color but just seems to not blend well on this car. I'll probably keep it until I notice it peeling.

Nice FLD120. Best truck Freightliner ever made, IMO. Looking at the emblems, and cab, 95ish?

Whats under the hood?

Nice. I remember them well from my truck mechanic days. 60 series was a great engine. Very reliable, if they quit, it was the SRS/TRS sensors, or the fuel pump....other than that an injector or two, a turbo, but that was usually 500K plus miles...if you had that or an N14, you were good to go...

Century was a solid truck too...what model Volvo, VNM? ....drove a couple of those, always seemed to ride better than the Century...but that was just test drives as a mechanic, I never did over the road...lol...

Nice M too...

Yeah these detroits are solid. Volvo is a 660 I believe that one has the Cummins n14 red top bumped up to 525hp. Not bad on diesel if you aren't smashing it for 10 hours lol. The century has a series 60 too about 470 on that one. All in all I say volvo has the best ride quality but I prefer this fld and the classic xl style. Peterbilts and Kenworths are nice too but they just are priced so high and the better looking truck doesn't make any extra money with the looks lol. Thanks on the M too!

You couldnt kill that N14! About all I remember on those were water pumps, they called it the suitcase pump...

If I were to drive truck, I would prefer a Western Star (like the 4900), the last dealer I worked for was Western Star (and Freightliner), they were top notch, felt more solid than any KW or Peterbilt, looked better too, IMO, without the high price... that, or the Classic XL for sure...
