Shawns meet/Weekend in Canada

Tom: "Were gonna buy Adi a coon skin rug for his car"

Adi: "Ross doesnt like black people"

Everyone: ":sweatdrop::whistling:"

Seeing as my trip to Canada [first time there mind you] was so pleasant, I figured to do a trip report. I was in Mississauga from Friday until late Sunday. Along the way there wasnt much to report, as it was all night time driving. But on the return trip, I got to see some nifty places and things. I took a few pics and here is my story!

So as I said before, nothing to really report on the way there. I left my area late Friday evening and was running on no sleep + 10 hours of work. I honestly did not think I was going to make it, and it crossed my mind more than once to just cancel the whole thing. But I wanted time away from this shat hole, and seeing as my girlfriend was able to come, why not!

I stayed at the Motel 6 off the 401 in Mississauga, Ontario. The place was very very nice, and very inexpensive. I was not only a block away from the major highway I had to take to Shawns, but also right up the block from Adi. The rooms were very clean, very neat, spacious and lots of ammenities were in place. I was lucky enough to get a room over the parking lot, kinda like I did at Carlisle. So my baby was always in plain view, and so was Adi coming to meet me up at 730AM on Saturday. :cuss:

Price: 55$ a night for 2

Now, this is where the pictures start. I made a photobucket album for them because I have many of them, but I will include some of the better ones.

A shot of Robs "rice", as Adi would call it:

Adis "police interceptor". That dufus put on those friggin strobe lights in the midst of traffic and almost caused a 10 car pile up on the 401!

Caught both, in one shot!

At the yard, can you tell whos car is whos? There was a few other cars off camera

Lined up at Shawns. Sorry for excluding the 1st gen, my girlfriend took this one!

This picture, just looks all wrong. Rob, what were you doing back there? FYI, I was helping doug run the wires for Adis new subs. Me, Doug and some special guest appearances by Rob were able to do it in ~1 hour.

Me and my ride or die chick at the photoshoot by Lake Erie

Interesting find on the way home. About 10 miles from Niagara falls

The falls!

Goodbye Canada

The drive up there was painful and long. Luckily my girlfriend did a great job keeping me attentive, plus my MP3 player helped. Once in canada, I got a little confused with the signs, but I got used to it after a while. Once me and Rob picked up Martin on the way to Shawns, I accidentally began to speed around with an undercover cop. Hey, I didnt know, I mean I figured but I wasnt sure why he kept pulling up on me and then falling back.

The drive back was more pleasant as it was day time and I stopped often to take some pictures and see some nifty things. Some stuff I didnt get a chance to take pictures of was:

The intrepid taxicab in Niagara falls, ON
The 300M taxicab in Buffalo, NY
Some moron in a HEMI truck trying to race me

Might I also add, this definitely wasnt Adis weekend, I think everyone mustve ripped into him like raw meat. But it was all in good fun!

And yes Tom, Shawns weiner is definitely some of the best Ive seen and had. So big and juicy, I was full after 2.

More pictures in my photobucket, linked below:

Total distance traveled: 1650mi +/- 100mi
Total fuel used: Estimated 50 gallons, about 165$

Only two weiners Dave? It was so good to see you again, and meet your girlfriend. I certainly wouldn't exclude anyone from a meet, especially someone who seems to be so nice. Shame you guys didn't get a little more sleep on the way. Very nice pics there by the way. Thanks again for coming.

Hey hey hey now... what the hell?! I didn't say "ross doesn't like black people!"

I was talking about the time everyone got on my ass about saying "subwoofers like colored folk" and it was Ross who originated that statement! It was meant to be funny...

Well then make her feel good that a national recognized artist who used to do some of the top art shows in the nation (me but retired now) liked her photography skills. It has great composition with good visual flow.

Nice pics Dave. Definitely the longest trip to our area meets so far. Looks like you made a nice weekend getaway out of it.
