Capt. Danlisle I South - Atlanta Caravan

What time is everyone planning to leave the Atlanta area? I can't leave until after 9:00 a.m. or so Friday morning.

Im trying to get in touch with chewievette and waiting on him to call me. Hes picking up gearhead down here in atlanta and then headed up to the meet. And I was talking about leaving around 5am....but I guess I could wait til 9am...

My plan was to see if chewievette could come down to Atlanta thursday night and get gearhead, then they could both just stay the night at my house. Then we both leave in our cars the next morning. Im located off the Hamilton Mill exit (EXIT 120 on I-85 N)

My only problem with a caravan is that I will need to make a stop by MY lake house off exit 177 (last exit before South carolina) to get the kneeboard, life jackets, and the tube. Its only about 15 minutes off the exit and theres an Ingles to get gas along the way thats usually about 7-10 cents cheaper than everywhere else. Although, having two other cars to stuff a kneeboard, water skiis, tube, and life jackets into would be helpful.

So if ya'll don't mind doing that, then I say 9am sounds just fine for a caravan

Sorry, I work nights and dont always get to check the boards before I leave.

I'd be alright with staying over in ATL, breaks my 6+hr drive up a smidge, which is always good. Pit stop at your lake house is no problem either. I have absolutely nothing planned on friday except to go with the flow...

That works. Think of this way: You get gearhead's car going we might could add another car to the caravan.

Alright so we got this set?

Chewie will go to gearheads and stay the night there thursday (if thats okay with him) and then yall can just meet up with me that morning?

And 98Intrepid where are you leaving from? Are you coming from further south or leaving further north of my location??

And I hate using usernames, so my name is Ben. I'll be sending ya'll PMs with my phone number and address so we can get this ball rolling. Feel free to call me tomorrow with questions.

I can get Gearhead921 Friday morning if Chewievette doesn't want to go the extra distance.

Also PredatoryTrep can start earlier than 9:00 a.m and we can rendevous at or near the exit for his side trip.

I just went through his 27 page long sig thread last night.....I would gladly let you drive my car for a bit if I could take a ride in his....I'd like to see how his car would stack up against a 2nd gen 3.5....IIRC the 2nd gen 3.5L was rated for about 40 or so more HP at the crank, which is probably how much more power he got overall with everything hes done....then again a 1st gen weighs less doesnt it? Oh man its going to be fun to test this stuff out and run numbers

And where exactly are you located 98Intrepid??

I know gearhead is in Dekalb...and chewie is coming from Tennessee around the Chattanooga area IIRC...

And I would have yall just meet me at the lake house exit, but I was hoping to get Chewie and gearhead's help to install that cock spring before we went....

Anyways.... I'm not going to say anything about performance here since its easier to explain in person. but like I said I'm pretty much game for whatever, I get off work on thurs morning and I'm free till sunday night. Just need to do an oil change and get my tires rebalanced before I head out but that should be handled tomorrow and wed.
