Carlisle 2K4 and the 2nd Annual DI.net Meet

ok a bunch of us realized at carlisle it was about the 2nd best turnout that any of the meets have had this year and thats just us few east coasters. this is the perfect time of year for a car meet. and we all had a blast with drag racing friday show on saturday and such, we could make it a weekend excursion instead of just one day, again for those who dont know Carlisle is in south east Pennsylvania. the 300m club is also going again next year, i think this would be a really good idea voice your opinons here.

Alex and I have been talking about having the international meet later in the spring (hopefully it will be warmer). And I personally think it should stay in Chicago.

since i am from the east coast, and carlisle is the biggest chrysler show in the east, and to be far to everyone, alternate each year, keep it a little fresh

I'll be back at carlisle next year whether it's the 2nd Di.net meet or not..I think it was great this year and with a bigger turnout could be even more fun...I highly recommend everyone that can make it to carlisle, should..and if we get enough early registrations we'll get a better location for our cars..I have a few ideas to make it better but I'll save those for later....

See, here is the problem....you're all on the East coast, so of course you want it there, it's easy for you to get there. The reality of it, however, is that most of the members who participate in meets are in the midwest and so it is unfair to move it because most of the people who go to meets have to go the hell out of their way just cause a few people on the east coast don't want to drive. Also, as most of you have seen, Carlisle is more so favoring of the classic MOPARs and so they will not show as much affection towards the LH cars. Lastly, if it were not for Randy, there would be no DodgeIntrepid.net and so it would only be like the smallest thing we could do to thank him for his endless hardwork is to keep the meet by him .

I am in the midwest, but so is Randy, and most of the meets happen in the midwest, you just happen to live on the east coast and seem to be the only one complaining about it not being on the east coast where you are. It is impossible to please everyone in this world and you know it, if you wanted to please the most people (of those who go to meets), then you keep it here because most of the people are......guess what!............HERE!!!

What made you come up with the conclusion that most of the meets happen in the midwest? With the exception of Gearfest and the Intl meet... I don't really see any other events going on.

I just feel that the attitude some of the mid-west people have had and their unwillingness to "share" the "international meet" with other locations is just plain selfish IMO. And frankly... ill leave it at that.

What made me think that? OK DJ......
Count how many meets you guys have had and their frequency and then count the meets we have, that is how I came to that conclusion. You of all people should not be talking about selfish, you're the one who wants everyone to drop what they planned and come all the way over to you just because you don't want to drive your car and all. Count all the MOA meets, all the Gearfests, the other meets we have had here and there.........and then count what you guys have and I personally would not count Carlisle because that is not a show you guys set up. It has been around for a long time, not like counting it or not will help either way, we have far many more meets.

You know what Axle... im not even going to waste my time getting into a pissing match with you.

Bottom line is you said it yourself... you want to please the MOST people you can... and frankly the only REAL way to do this is to alternate the meet location without acting like a total hippocrite.
