Track Day Event - Road Course

There has been some talk about getting together with TCCA to rent Gingerman Raceway in South Haven, MI.

Please read this thread for more info...

https://www.dodgeintrepid.net/forums/...5&pagenumber=1

Who would be interested in such an event?

This thread is just to guage interest. Obviously some people's interest will change since cost and a date haven't been set yet.

Hell yeah!

I don't know what works for everyone date-wise, so maybe we should post the best times for each? For me, it would be around late August. Of course, I'd have to check availability of the track and all, but I'll do that after we see if there's enough interest.

Basic cost for the track is $3500, so the more people we get the better.

I'll cross post this to the TCCA as well, I know there's bound to be people who would like to make the journey back!

If it could be next year in conjunction with the International meet that would be cool.

I have done these before with the BMW car club, they are always a lot of fun. Make sure your car is in good working order, good brakes, tires, cooling system and belts and all suspension components. Also remember your insurance may not cover your car if you stuff into something, I remember at a school in Phoenix a guy stuffed his 308 ferrari into the guardrail they towed to a parking lot and reported it hit and run I don't know if he got away with it or not.If you do mess up make sure you tell them it was a driving school event.

If it's close enough, I'd be in. Given that I should be moving to Windsor in September, I'd gladly show up for a meet at Gingerman raceway.

I don't know about a 'late' August.. Since my birthday and school come in late August. But hey, we're just getting interest right now!

If you need more folks to come to bring the costs down, you could post it on DM.Net as well. Those guys are eager to get their cars on a track.

Update for this, here's the dates available in August: 17th, 18th, and 31st. I'm thinking that the earlier dates would be better, so it doesn't interfere with school/college stuff.

Cost for the track is $2500, insurance is $500, and corner workers are $170, for a grand total of $3,170. If we had just 20 people, that's only $150 each, for a whole day of the track. Having just been there in May, I can honestly say that we'd all have plenty of runs, even with 30 cars.

So who's in?

Sorry Guys,

With those dates I'm out.

If you choose to do it next year in conjunction with the DI.net/Stratusphere int'l meet I am in

Can you imagine the TCCA/DI.net/300Mclub/Stratusphere/DodgeMagnum.net and the Prowler guys all getting together for this? Only 2.5 hours from Elmhurst.

Cool as hell.

Don
