trying to set up some sort of meet for the NorthEast/NewEngland area-maybe a ski trip or something as fun...say around the end of FEB or beginning of MAR
I'd be willing to drive as far as NYCity(4hrs for Me)I'm on the Cape in MA.So a trip to somewhere in New Hamshire for skiing should be about the middle for just about everyone...
this should include the following list of people
DCREPID'00(me)-Cape Cod,MA
MoparHead-Plymouth,MA
JoeKD-CT
bat078-Brockton,MA
DjPiLL-NYC,NY
Intrepidatious-Long Island,NY
SlvrBlt-Boston,MA
Valhalla21340-Boston,MA
...to name but a few(there are others but not very prominant posters)(if I left you out ,apologies)
Any takers..suggestions other than skiing..timing...meeting place
Count me in... An intrepid meet and skiing trip would be killing to birds with one stone. I go to university of connecticut...so anywhere in new england would be great. Keep me up to date on plans.

If we waited until spring, or even scheduled another meet, we could go to a test and tune day at N.E. Dragway. On these days you are allowed to "run what you brung." All you need is a helmet, I believe. I can check into other regs if there is any interest.
I think it would be cool to meet in person, get some timeslips, and have some proof to back up what we say.
Sounds good, count me in (if social planner allows it a.k.a. wife). I'm about an hour from NYC but I've got some family up in mass and NH so I've made that run a 'few' times! Spring sounds good to me, I'll have more available cash then!
also would be awesome to check out the rules on not only N.E. dragoway, but also new hampshire intl raceway too...i DONT know for a fact but i have heard that people are allowed to drive on the main oval...that would be an awesome pic, a few intrepids coming out of a turn two wide...!! that raceway is about 60 miles away from boston...
Hey guys i'm from rhode island, and im pretty much the only kid i know of that owns an intrepid, i'm very intrested in a new england meet, as long as the rents approve im there, count me in!
Well it's getting pretty late in the season now. I'm not really one for skiing, but I'd still like to have a good sized meet. Are we still planning something?
Could everyone enter the city and state they are from (well, those who plan on attending) and then maybe we can come up with a good midpoint to meet at.
When we figure out where to meet, hopefully it will be near something like a dyno shop or a car show or something.
For those who are interested, the NY Auto Show is in Manhattan at the end of March. I will be attending the press days (for DI.NET) but if anyone is interested in going on the public days, I'd be willing to go...that would make for a great meet!
I will also be attending the NY auto show. I don't know what days but I think a saturday would be best (personally). I think that's the first full public day, anyway I think it makes for a good place to meet.
It's at the Jacobs Javitt Center like every year. Which just happens to be right across the street from the USS Intrepid (it's permanently docked there and is now a floating museum). Now wouldn't that be cool to go to also!!!
I forgot it was in front of the Intrepid! I guess are cars aren't just boats, they're battleships. I've been going to the auto show almost every year since 1988.... Ahh the memories. From what I remember Oldsmobile had just about the hottest things around then.
acutally it's an aircraft carrier...but who's counting:wink:
Yeah the show is great. Before I moved out here, I went to the Detroit Auto Show every year. Beleive it or not, in actual size, the NY Auto Show is bigger...but the Detroit auto show gets more prestige.
I'd be willing to do somethin, if anyone is plan'n, I live in Central New York.
