For sale is my 2000 Dodge Intrepid R/T....It is a custom car, not boring stock. Car has factory cloth interior which has NO rips, tears or wear. Looks new! Car has factory R/T headrests. Car has power drivers seat. Car has power sunroof which slides inside the roof and also flips up to vent. It has the 3.5 High Output Magnum engine, which is a Hemi, just a V-6....its factory rated at 242 horsepower stock. The car is a factory automatic with "autostick" manual clutch-less shifting. I have replaced the original engine at 116K miles with a 3.5 H.O. out of a 2004 intrepid SXT which came with a carfax report of 46000 miles on the car and odometer also showed 46K miles. The engine was pulled and I had my ASE certified mechanic rebuild the engine as much as possible without disassembling it. We installed new water pump, new idler pulley and tensioner, new air conditioning pulley, new upper and lower manifold gaskets, new head gaskets, check heads and they were perfect, new plugs, new plug tubes, new radiator, new oil cooler and lines, new trans cooler and lines, new belts, new thermostat, new upper and lower radiator hoses, new clamps, new K&N drop in filter, new alternator and both idler and AC belts were changed. Also at 116K miles the mechanic drained all transmission fluid, inspected transmission, changed filter and reinstalled new gasket and new fluid and also pumped fluid from torque converter so all fluid is new. All sensors have been changed, including camshaft positioning sensor, trans clutch pack sensor, and O2 sensors. Timing chain and timing cover were also changed. While engine was out, the starter was changed and battery cables were replaced with new. The front suspension was inspected and new inner and outer tie rods on front were installed. New stabilizer bars on front and rear. Front brakes were installed at 116K mileage also. New "police" rotors with vents and carbon ceramic pads. Brake proportioning valve was replaced also. All brake fluid was bled and replaced with new Dot4 Mopar fluid. Engine oil has been Mobil 1 Full Synthetic since I've owned the car and that's the same in the new engine. Oil Change was done at 128000 miles, car has about 130000 now. New dual electric R/T fans were also installed when radiator was changed....
Engine alone cost $5000 to have old motor pulled and new motor purchased and rebuilt and installed!
Rear brakes changed 9/25/14....new heavy duty rotors and carbon ceramic pads installed!!
HALO projector headlights and new H3 HID bulbs installed 9/26/2014!!
The exhaust was installed at Exhaust Masters in Merrillville last summer. It consists of a stainless Y-Pipe at the cats, 2 into 1....into 2 1/2 " stainless steel piping back to a single "Camaro style" Stainless Flowmaster 40-series muffler. The muffler is a single in, dual out muffler. The dual pipes out are stainless and go into Stainless Borla 4" solid stainless tips. The rear bumper cover was customized so that both pipes hang EXACTLY even and straight. New hangers were installed for exhaust. The car sounds awesome! Very loud and throaty but no drone inside while driving. I get many compliments! All welded and NO clamps!
The 2-tone custom paint was done at Carl's Autobody in Highland 2 summers ago. The bottom is a factory Inferno Red Metallic color and the top is a custom Tri-coat with blue metal flake in it...not like a bass boat and annoying, just a little so it sparkles in the sun. It looks awesome! There is a silver stripe between the 2 colors that sets the entire car off. The tail lights and rear light bar were tinted with tinted clear and sprayed heavy. You can wet sand them if they ever get scratched and it will buff to a perfect shine again. Its very easy to see the brake lights during the day and at night. The car has 8000 K HID headlights and 8000K HID fog light kits installed and they are very bright. Very easy to see while driving at night and a slight blue tint. The ballasts fit perfectly under the factory headlight assemblies and aren't zip tied and bouncing around.
The wheels are 18" MB Alpina wheels. The tires are Cooper all season tires. They CAN be driven in all weather including winter. I did not drive them in winter. The car was in the garage all winter and tires/wheels have not seen more than a couple rains. These rims have less than 5000 miles on them. No scratches, no curb rash, no nicks or blemishes.
The factory 17" R/T rims and tires WILL come with the car. They have minimal curb rash and still look new. The tires on the factory rims will need to be replaced soon. 25-40% tread left.
The car has new interior speakers. I changed the door and rear package shelf factory Infinity speakers with new Infinity Kappa 3 Way speakers. They sound excellent and much louder and clearer than stock. I changed the stock gauges to 300M gauges. They look much nicer and also work with the cars "auto-stick" mode.
I recently replaced the battery with a NEW Interstate battery. I also replaced both hood struts and trunk struts.
The car has a 2-way alarm with remote start. The alarm has a nice pager feature and comes with a key chain display to show the status of the car and when its been auto started, a timer counts down until the car shuts off again. You can program a lot of different features with this alarm. For $50 u can order an adapter and use an Android or Iphone and remote start, arm, disarm it. I never ordered the adapter.
The car has a "POLICE" front bumper cover. It features brake ducting to help assist in cooling the brakes and keep them from warping under hard braking. The factory car did not have this...I added it and its painted factory Inferno red metallic....
Car has 35% tint on front 2 windows and 25% tint on rear windows and windshield.
Overall the car is not perfect. It was my daily driver since I bought it in 2004. The car has had most of its suspension, engine, and wear parts replaced. ALL PARTS USED ON ANY REPLACEMENT, OR SERVICE WERE MOPAR PARTS ONLY!!! No autozone, NAPA or other cheap replacement parts...my mechanic will only use factory parts. The car has a few scratches which are very small and can be buffed out.....the car has 2 or 3 door dings on passenger side from parking lots....I have put over $10000 worth of repairs and servicing into this car. That does NOT include the custom paint, wheels, bumper cover, HID kits, exhaust, speakers or alarm/remote start....I have babied this car since I've owned it. Car had 46000 miles on it in 2004 when I bought it and has 130000 on it 10 years later.....New engine has 60000 miles on it so it has a LONG way to go!!
