Selling 2001 Dodge Intrepid R/T Motorsports Edition - $$4,000 obo

Category: Domestic
Status: Clean Title

I have a 2001 Dodge Intrepid R/T Motorsports Edition for sale, in USA - Nebraska.

Mileage: 111,000 miles
Engine Size: 3.5L HO

Asking price is $$4,000 obo

Seller Information: John Scott
Phone: (402) 612-8001
Email: [email protected]

For sale is my 2001 Dodge Intrepid R/T Motorsport Edition. One of 383 ever made. The R/T is the high performance version, with upgraded suspension and 4 wheel disc brakes. The engine is the 3.5L HO and not the crappy 2.7L or 3.2L that had all the problems. These cars go over 200k miles according to the Intrepid website guys.

The Motorsport Edition was made in 2001 only, to celebrate Dodge's return to NASCAR. The 2001 had the one year only Motorsports factory 17" wheels, which are on the car, and nearly impossible to find. Also has the original graphics and original Motorsports floor mats.

Car is right at 111,000 miles. Has had oil changed every 3K miles, and all normal maintenance done as needed. Last year the car was shifting erratically, took it in for service, the "computer" inside the tranny was bad, mechanic installed a brand new computer (not used) and I had him do a full tranny service. According to the mechanic, the tranny is in great shape, he said he can tell by his equipment how much fluid is in each circuit, or something to that effect, and said the tranny is in good shape. That was a $350 repair and service (have receipt). Has "auto-stick" feature which lets you manually shift for performance, if desired, kind of like a slap-stick shifter.

Engine runs perfect, no ticking valves, no leaks. 242 horsepower makes driving this car a lot of fun.

Tires are in great shape with no plugs or repairs, about 8/32" to 10/32" tread remaining, which is about 75% or so.

Body is very solid, with zero rust, car has not been driven in winter. Has a scuff on back bumper from some idiot backing into it when parked, pics show it, it's very minor. No cracks or chips in glass.

Cloth interior is in excellent shape, no stains or rips, no holes in seats. Car has not seen cigarette smoke. Has power drivers seat. Has 5 disc CD/cassette factory premium sound package, one speaker at passenger front door has a slight buzz, easy to find one on ebay for cheap.

Cockpit is extremely spacious, if you are 6' 6" this car will fit you, has a ton of head and leg room. Trunk is actually surprising, about the size of a cave, it's absolutely HUGE.

Power windows, tilt, cruise, keyless entry, etc all work perfectly. I just put my gauges on the air conditioner and added about 1-2 ounces of freon, first time ever, to put the pressure in the perfect zone. Air blows very cold. Heater and rear defroster are perfect. Power mirrors work perfect.

Clean and clear title in my name, and CarFax report from the dealer I bought it from in Minneapolis.

Only reason for selling... well haha I found another one with leather seats and a sliding sunroof ; )

It's an awesome car for a family car, I bought it 'cause I am not ready to feel like a grandpa in a Buick but needed a big car ; ) very sporty looking car! Rides like a Cadillac, smooth as can be.

With 383 ever made, likely will be collectible in a few years, but I have no where to store them both!

I welcome all questions, serious offers will be considered, low offers will be ignored, I am not desperate to sell this. I do not need help selling. No paypal, no shipping, no cashiers cheques, this is a cash face to face deal. My name is John. Email me here or text me at above number, I miss a lot of calls. Thanks for looking.
