P0201 Code

So I bought this car approximately a month ago from a private seller...great car for the price! However after replacing the MAP sensor last week 2 days later the check engine light comes on yet again. I knew the trick to get codes doing the key cycle and I got p1684 and P0201. I googled it and learned it could be the fuel injector but have seen suggestions to clean it and they may fix the problem...Anyone have success fixing this issue by just cleaning it? If so was it on the car or an external cleaning? Should I just buy a new one? What if it is something else? I cant afford another mechanic so I have to complete the work myself.

Thanks for reading and look forward to replies.

Going off of a quick google search, it looks like that code refers to the control circuit (electrical portion) of the fuel injector. I'm not sure what has to be done to get access to the fuel injectors on a 2.7, but I would unplug the cylinder #1 fuel injector (passenger side, front cylinder) and check for power being supplied to the injector. Use a multimeter (set it to Hz to measure frequency) and put the leads on the two contacts of the injector harness. If you get a reading above 0 Hz while somebody cranks the engine over then the harness should be ok. If that is the case then I would replace the fuel injector.

Smile On the road again! !

So after I had a mobile mechanic diagnose that it was in fact the fuel injector I ordered the part with the intention of having the professional put it on. After a week of scheduling conflicts I set out to do it myself with the guidance of a few youtube videos LOL. I befriended a very nice Ase certified mechanic who was unable to make it but was kind enough to walk me through the procedure via text message. I DID IT!! After losing 2 bolts and a chunk out of my index finger upper knuckle; the car started right up and zero misfiring! Pretty proud of myself! !
