2 BLU's 98 Sonoma (56K warning)

Well, you all know my trep died on me, 2.7 rip. I was looking around for something, but nothing was really in my range. People kept saying that when the times right it will happen, well thats true. I was going to look at a jetta and the seller backed out a few hours before i was going to see it, then i came across this sonoma, AGAIN. It was perfered I dont get a truck, but.. i really wanted to get one, so it didnt hurt to look. Theres some rust, its not that pretty, but it can all be fixed. Has 257xxxKm's on it, got it for 1000 bucks, engine light was on, my mech. put the scanner on before we made our final decision and its all good. The girl i bought it off of was SO cooperative. so after this 1000, 400 in parts and w/e the body shop charges, then safety and plates ill be on the road. Here it is at the body shop, it has the 4.3 vortec. Engine code X which means it is 180 hp. Not bad for my first truck and first rwd vehicle.

Nice truck! I had an old s15 blazer with the 4.3l, fun trucks for ripping around with...
my only question tho.. Why not snag a few shots of the bumperless viper beside you? lol

Not bad!! There are tons of mods available for those trucks, that will make things easy for you.

Watch the intake gasket and fuel pump, probably the most common problem on those.

Nice truck Nate. What's it going to do at the body shop? Rust fixing I'm guessing?

yup, if u look closely, passenger side, bottom rear of cab, rear wheel well, adn u cant see but the drivers side rocker... then going to safety it, and make sure everything is good for safety. dug up the emissions off the net, done back in july so its good. chick said it had a tune up b4 tested and safetied. believe it or not thats how it safetied.. that rust and that broken light should not have passed. lights being replaced aswell

well just got the truck home after being in the shop for a few months getting road worthy, one thing that ive showed is the rear wheel wells were fiberglassed so the body work wasnt sharp. The truck is gonna be some work but it will be fun. The interior is in good condition too and the tailgate was rusted out, so we chucked it. Its a 98 GMC Sonoma ZQ8, with 257 000KM, now onto the pics. Enjoy

lights installed (had a shit load of blue on my intrepid, and foglights, which i removed, so ... enjoy

well lots has been done since then to this truck, the bed has been completly redone by my friends and i, mostly my friend rob, bodywork, paint, and some customization. I have an s10 grille waiting for lights. the truck now rolls all black and smooth, blacked out tail lights(half atleast) shaved 3rd brake light, shaved steps up front and rear stepshaver kit out back with a rollpan. Also have more sporty SS mirrors on it now too. Tint on all the windows except the front, nothing changed to the inside. gonna do some more work to get this thing in better conditions... some recent pics

also forgot i did the exhaust too

enjoy everyone and thanks for lookin
