97 3.5L No spark

My 97 3.5L went from running fine to a no-start condition.

It has no codes and it cranks fine, but no spark.

I followed the factory service manual procedure for testing crank and cam position sensors, but the results don't make sense.

Is anyone here familiar with the FSM procedure for troubleshooting crank and cam ... using a 12V bulb between the coil B+ input and ground ?

I'll be happy to post the procedure and results I get .. or troubleshoot in some other way.

Thanks in advance all.

When was the last time the Timing belt was changed?

How many miles on the car?

Bad Coil?

Blown fuse?

Bad ASD Relay?

The car has 123K miles on it.
The water pump, timing belt, and tensioner were changed about 4K miles ago.
The coil primaries measure good at about .6 ohms.
Fuses are all ok.
The ASD relay is working based on the FSM 'no-start' test (a 12V bulb between the coil B+ and ground).

Try the key dance to see if there are any codes?

Bad cam or crank sensor will shut off the spark. As well as a slipped timing belt (happened to me). Slipped belt is probably not likely since you have 4K miles on it but I'd check it if the sensors are fine. When I did my belt, it drove fine for a week then next day my car didn't start, turned out the belt slipped a couple teeth. Just had to tighten it.

If you can't get a good deal on OEM ones, I've had good luck with Standard Motor Product sensors. Wouldn't trust any others especially from AutoZone or Advance Auto.
