VTSS Disable

Does anyone know how to disable the VTSS (factory alarm) on a premium BCM? i am installing a new one to facilitate my otis and soon to be autostick and i don't want it to lock out my engine...

idunno what the PM said but there is a green/orange wire i beleive in the driver side door, you can jsut ground that and it wil disable the alarm

when i installed the OTIS i grounded PIN number 3 on the black connector and that solved the problem.

The wire in the door may not be there, unless you already have the premium BCM.

I think pin three is the one you need, but my memory sucks.

BTW, when you connect a VTSS enabled BCM or PCM to a non-VTSS enabled PCM or BCM it will automatically enable VTSS, so keep in mind that you are stuck with it. Your PCM will always require a VTSS enabled BCM after connecting one to it.

You need to connect PIN 3 on the black connector to ground which is PIN 21 on the Bone connector.

Ya, good point. Any ground will do, but using a signal ground will avoid any noise problems. I had mine grounded to chasis for a few months without a problem though.

HELP, I have tried grounding the green/orange wire. The alarm / gas shutoff will still not disable. What am I doing wrong ?
