thanks for such positive input as usual veeborg~ honestly though i hate how it sticks out lol

when i pull the deck out and look to the back there is a little hump that is in the way.. there is av input wires everywhere plus my amp wires and the normal harness.. even the antenna is external it has a wire and a plug..

im gonna get it in better but it will take some extra effort, on top of the extra effort ive put in to get it that far..
it will never fully be in all the way..regardless
its in "really good" now due to the cage,no sliding or any movement of any kind..cd doesn't skip

regardless of the deck sticking out the sound quality is really good.. subs pump big time and sound great respectively..i see people looking around for the sound i guess its unexpected from a trep
speakers sounded weak until i changed the sounds freq.. sounds like subs without the subs on lol

and before all this was my ipod and the tape deck lol

here's what I do..

remove the a/c controls so you can get your hand up behind the radio, pull all the wire/connectors you can down into that area, there is a lot of room behind the a/c controls.

What kinda of routing did you do for the sub/amp wires in the back?

well i believe it starts going through the firewall.. then down on the floor.. the kick panels i believe.. then i was able to pull the back seat out a little to run the wires through a hole in the back seat/trunk.. i had to pull the carpet out some from the trunk to get at the back seat section.. the hole is clearly visable when u get the carpet out..u cant miss it.. i will look for your thread to

i didnt have to unbolt my seat to get at is easily because it seems like it could be missing a bolt possilbly lol i could take a pic of u really want me to

Its because the deck is do dam long.. seriously its not exactly the wires.. the car has a hump in the back that prevents the deck from pushing back far enough.. if i position the deck to go over the hump.. it puts the deck at a retarded angle likes its pointing at the floor..there just no way.. ill pull my deck out and take pics tommorow of everything im talking about.. this deck has more wires then u think.. and believe me ive install at least 10 systems in friends cars (1 being a second gen trep) also one in my old 94 3.3.. never had this problem.. im gonna have to use spacers on the dash kit to pull it out some.. but that will barley have an effect.. some is better than none i suppose.. i challenge anyone in Ontario to come get htis deck in better than i can.. i just yanked the deck out of my 97 voyager and it fit in there perfectly

installing the deck is suppose to be the easy part imo

If you really want a cool system, ditch the stereo all together. Go straight from your Ipod to the amp. This is what I was gonna do but waiting from the body shop with a repair quote. I was gonna have my Nano go into 2 amps, 1 for the rears and 1 for the fronts/doors. This would also allow you to toss that annoying antenna.
