hello everyone my name is Kurt. I'm going to start this off with a little bit of a story.
the year was 1997, i was 3 years old and my soon to be (at that point) stepfather's parents were coming to meet my sisters and i. i'm playing in the basement and my mom says that they have arrived so i run upstairs to meet my new grandparents excited. we go out the font door and sitting in the driveway was the most beautiful car i have ever seen. a red 1993 intrepid, I'm introduced to the owner of this fine machine. the sweetest woman in the world my grandma Helen. from that day on i was in love with cars and made it my dream to own that intrepid. throughout the years my grandparents took me on many road trips in that car and i loved it so much. this was the car that I rode into on my first day of kindergarten in and as time passed i had always made it known that i wanted this car. It was always a joke that I'd inherit the car and my grandmother was always happy play along because she and i both loved the car. my senior year of high school on the first day i dove the car to school it being fitting since 13 years prior it was the way i got to school. recently talked to my grandmother and she said i could have the car. A DREAM COME TRUE.
a few things to know about the car:
My grandmother was the original purchaser in 1993
It has been taken care of very meticulously
it was in a garage most of its life kept clean and detailed often
it looks and drives like its brand new
It is my dream car and i will never get rid of it even for all the money in the world.
thanks for listening I hope to meet people who love the intrepid as much as i do and i can become more knowledgeable about them
Picture are of myself with the car on my first days of school kindergarten and senior year of high school
I can relate to your great story even though I didn't grow up with my car (at least not beginning until the age of 16). My Concorde was the first car my parents took me to look at and over 12 years later, I see no reason to discard it for a new car, as I love so many things about it.
How many miles is on your Intrepid, it looks like no rust in Ohio? Must be pretty low mileage.
the car has 131xxx miles on it
It has been an Ohio car for its whole life but garaged during most winters and my grandmother got it detailed often
Attached is some interior pics I included one of the air bag cover which has very little working which I've seen happen in a few intrepids
