Cagedintrepid's '97 Concorde LX

Start with the basic stats.
1997 Chrysler Concorde LX 3.5l
Artic Grey
222,xxx KM

So far for basic stuff I have put on all new Good Year Nordics. And also put on the factory hubs and spec rims for chrysler. The car came with horrible 16" rusted rims, and wore out rubber. I also had all seals and gaskets redone. When I got the car the intake gaskets were leaking due to being done poorly. I also spent about three hours detailing the car. I did a complete engine flush, and ran Mobil1 full syn, with a litre of XM-5 addiditive. Blew out all the car lines(hood, doors, outside vents, trunk, fenders) with an air hose. Lots of crap and dirt in there.

I haven't done much for mods(yet) because I have spent most of my time on getting it running really nice. And cleaning it up. I had to replace a few things. A couple of the heat vents were broken up so i put new ones in. And the auto power window switch didn't work so I put in a new one as well. The speaker grills on the doors were super dirty and actually looked like they were rusting, so I took them out cleaned them, sanded them a bit and repainted them black. So I did the back ones to match, but i stenciled in a JL audio emblem for fun.

Audio Upgrades
Deck-Sony CDX-FW700
Speakers-Left Infinity's up front/Sony 4-way 350 watt 6x9's
Rockford AMP(for highs) yet to be installed-too cold

Mods(i will just add as I do them)
Interior Light's converted to all Blue inverted LED's
Cleaned and detailed Engine
Painted Plenum Cover Deep Blue
Decals-Kenwood,JL Audio

Will post pics in the next few days. Like I said...its cold and alot of snow.

Thanks! Not bad for just a few things over the last week and a half. Its actually starting to warm up so I'll probably do a few things this week. I gotta put the plenum cover back on to so I'll take a few pics of the engine bay. Oh, and i put in a 28" led strip under the steering column. Idea was to put it across the bottom of the dash but didnt work out so I gotta go grab a new one. Wired it into the deck witha switch so the way it works is it will only come on when the key is off, and the deck can be powered on by the switch with the keys off.

Well, out of nowhere it has warmed up today. I will try to do some things today. I added a few new pics above. I want to get some good exterior shots but the car is filthy but I'll try anyway.

It's nice to see a concorde that hasn't gone to shit. There aren't many around Michigan like that. Nice work.

Nice, LOOKS well taken care of anyway. I don't know about the JL audio sticker on the back window though, to a security minded individual like me it's an invite. It says "I have JL subs in my trunk break in me !!" lol. Definitely get some tint when it's warmer out, I love my tint.

Thanks, haha yeah, the decals might send a "come steal what's in me" message but I'm well known in my area, mostly well liked, and its small. I'm not too worried. If it happens, it happens. Besides, I'm trained in Muay Thai, Kick Boxing, Submission Grappling, BJJ, and boxing so they better hope I don't catch them or they'll be taking a nap in my driveway lol.

Dunno if I mentioned this, but when I first got the car I was washing it and the hose got caught on the mirror and I pulled it and broke the drivers side mirror. Well, I fixed that up yesterday. So easy compared to what I was thinking. Here are some before and after pics.

Before

After

My main focus has been to clean or fix up the basic shit before I started on any serious mods. Almost done, did the tires, the mirror, some interior stuff like vents fixed, the stereo problems, the engine shit. Cleaned the ugly old dealer sticker, just some other minor stuff now. I want to paint the faded wiper arms, and scuff out some scratches and dings along the front bumper.

Getting there, it is way better then the first pic. Also remember I got the car for an equivelent of 250 dollars.....ie trade strade up for my old tv.

Oh forgot....anyone know of an easy way to fix the inner wheel well? I tried using the one from my intrepid but it didn't fit....the top part on the drivers side is broken out, so all the dirt, stones, mud, water is coming up on the window. And it is crazy muddy and wet right now.....

I started on a new mod but haven't finnished totally. Using a cluster from 95 Intrepid. I took the entire thing apart and added a carbon fiber background, and blue lights. Here it is so far. The carbon fiber was hard to work with so please be nice lol. I also painted the inner rings silver.
